There have always been “super teams”. Celtics, Lakers, Bulls, etc. Always.
The kids? Clearly you haven’t been paying attention to the adults. They’re just as bad.
And, it’s not about being “…guaranteed of winning …”, it’s seeing through the bull**** and the kids are doing a great job of that.
You’re really jealous I haven’t surpassed you as the actual WORST poster. Be thankful I responded.Making a bunch of mostly unrelated points to try to prove something is unsurprising coming from one of the worst posters on this board.
The 'super-teams' you mentioned were built through drafting and/or player development, not through players choosing to follow others to win easy. Not sure what the heck you are saying.
As far as kids 'seeing through bull****.' Not sure what the heck you are talking about there either.
Anyway, it's rare that I'd even bother to answer one of your posts, but this one was particularly non-sensical.
It still does but they go to other schoolsBeen saying this. Kids in Florida ain't what they used to be. Whatever that magic was that they had in the 80's that made them great, it's gone. South Florida used to produce Michael Irvin's, now it produces Mark Pope's. Same physical skillset, totally different mentality.
It's the culture.
Not in the slightest! I’m just saying, good things have happened to the AA community so that football is no longer one of the only ways to advance. That’s an AWESOME thing!"Too many AA'S have moved northbound"? So what's the solution, do you want the AA's to remain in poverty, crime, & violence so UM can field a "hard football team"? LOL.
I don't know what any internet post says about mikey from back then. Ut whatever you're reading that says Mikey's height, weight or 40 was the same as mark popes, you should leave them a very negative yelp review. Nothing even similar about the two except south floriduh. Mike is easily 6'2 and change. Mark is 5'10 maybe 5'11 and atleast 30 pounds separated the two. You are definitely right on work ethic And what's between their ears though. Kids rarely work for **** anymore down here.Same height, weight, 40-time and high school rating.
The difference between Michael Irvin and Mark Pope is between the ears and heart. Irvin willed himself to greatness by working his *** off 24/7. Irvin's skills were earned, not god-given.

The whole post was crazy. Pope was a 4.3-4.4, Irvin was a 4.7 out of high school — and I’m talking hand time.I don't know what any internet post says about mikey from back then. Agreed!! Charlatan, but spoke the truth.I can't stand Deion, he's a charlatan. But, but, he did say something that was true. "Anything you love, you are going to give all you got to it".

The black kids fromt he projects are playing for the white schools now..and leaving their neighborhood schools holding there dckSpeaking the truth. Soft parents creating soft kids. Its always been that way but now there are a lot more soft parents so they create a lot more soft kids, AND, the soft parents used to just be rich and white. Now the soft parents come in all colors and in all places on the socio-economic ladder.
I don’t even know if the projects are producing hard kids anymore Like they used to.
I remember growing up when white high schools were afraid to play black high schools because the black kids wanted it more and were tougher. Not anymore.
Only thing i disagree with.I don't know what any internet post says about mikey from back then. That’s not true. What I would add is the kids in the 1980's that played for FSU or Miami loved their state. They would never have gone to a state that supported racism like Alabama, LSU and to a lesser extent Ohio. To see the modern kids play for states that support racism is sickening. I wasn't raised that way. Miami in the 1980's was not this way. But this is what we are right now. You play for Nick Saban in a state that you know supports racism is okay but the players in the 1980's knew better. These kids do it and don't care. Sometimes players need to look in the mirror and say, is this really my legacy? What I want to be known for? I went to a racist school and am proud of it?
