Defensive Coaches Anyone?

Did anyone else catch the beginning of the SXM Ryan Leaf and Roddy Jones show last night? Wow... Roddy takes every shot he can at the Canes he can muster up. I get it, you played in the ACC and lost to the canes three out of four times, but try being impartial just a little bit. Actually, think before you speak so you may sound like you know a little something about the teams. And Ryan Leaf... You can tell the guy is all Pac12 and does not have a lot of respect for Cristobal. He like many others I've heard thinks Herbert didn't achieve what he could have under Cristobal. Whatever... Anyway, we have some great defensive minds coaching our side this weekend who have a lot of pride and know a thing or two about coaching against Jimbo. There's some true dislike. I personally think it's not being talked enough about... We are focusing so much on the players and I see the coaches really making the impact. I don't think Steele, Strong, or anyone else on our defensive staff want to lay an egg on national television. This is their time to shine too and make a statement.

Roddy said today UNC and Miami are level this year when asked if UNCs offense could continue to win games. He said no one in the Coastal is better and they’re even.

First, welcome to CIS.

I know that Steele and Strong are highly competent but even these guys can only do so much with some of the players we have. It’s going to take time to fix a variety of positions. Hopefully they maximize what we have and younger guys develop as talent is added.
 
That UNC game does concern me. It's the ACC opener and we will be coming off a a bye week. Hopefully we will have the offensive kinks out after the bye week.

Not sure why people are upset when pundits make their pronouncements at this point though. Some of our own fans don't think we are very good or gonna be very good.
