Defense among cfb elite

Elite defenses don't:

1. give up a 4th Q TD (80 yard drive) to Feline Frankfurter to lose a game
2. give up a 4th Q TD (75 yard drive and 2 pt conversion) to a freshman QB to lose another game
3. give up a 4th Q TD (17 plays, 55 yards) and 21 first downs to a MAC team that went 1-11 last year to almost lose a game
4. give up a 4th Q TD (63 yards) to an abysmal Vag Tech team to lose yet another game
5. give up 21 first downs to a terrible UVa offense
6. give up an 80 yard drive at the end of the 1st half to an even worse GT offense to tie the game, then give up another TD in OT to lose (again)

Elite defenses aren't:

7. Ranked 63rd in 3rd down conversion %
8. Ranked 129th (only S. Miss is worse) in 4th down conversion %
9. Ranked 40th in passing yards allowed (especially against the awful teams we've played)
10. Ranked 85th in red zone defense
11. Ranked 46th in passing efficiency defense
12. Ranked 21st in sacks (considering the awful teams we've played)
13. Ranked 64th in turnovers gained
14. Missing 29 tackles against GT (couldn't find a ranking, but we all know they're probably ranked **** near last)

They may be the best unit we have, but that's a really freaking low bar, and they are a gazillion miles from even being considered a 'good' defense.

While you’re ignoring amateurs why don’t you take a minute to read up on how depending on down, distance and coverage, defensive ends sometimes drop into coverage.

******* know it all nit wit.

as soon as you send me an article on how 29 missed tackles breeds champions dip****
