This is according to Manny Navaro.

Even with 3 ints Jarren ranks 21st nationally in QBR. His 71.8 CMP ranks 7th in FBS qbs. Kosi hasn't thrown enough passes to qualify for nationally QBR standings, but has a 150.2 QBR in the ACC. Which is better than Jamie Newsome, Trevor Lawerence, and Perkins. Kosi has 60.7 CMP with 683 yards and 6 TD and 1 INT.

One are where Kosi is better than Jarren is on 3rd downs. Kosi ranks 2nd in the ACC in 3rd down QBR. He’s 11-14 with 133 yards and 1 TD. He picked up seven 1st down on those 11 completions. While Jarren is ranked 16th in ACC. Jarren is 13-23 for 89 yards with 3 INT on 3rd down. He’s only picked up four 1st down on his 23 pass attempts.

Jarren is better in the redzone. He ranks 10 out of 25 qualified qb in QBR. He’s 10-16 for 69 yards with 4 TD. Also with a 181.23 QBR. Kosi is rank 15th. He’s 5-13 for 52 yards with 4 TD and 1 INT.

Kosi is better in the 4th Quarter. His 173.11 QBR is ranks 7th in the ACC. He’s 25-37 for 347 yards with 3 TD. He has 16 first down in his 37 pass attempts. He also completed 10 passes for 15 yards or more. While Jarren is ranked 16th in QBR in the ACC. He’s 12-23 for 120 yards with 1 TD. Only 7 first down in his 23 pass attempts. Also 4 passes completed for 15 yard or more.

Kosi throws the ball away more when in trouble which lowers his comp% ..that's a good thing
Kosi avoids sacks better and also seems less timid to run even though Jarren is bigger and has faster straight-line speed
Jarren is more accurate but holds the ball way too long.

You have to stick with Kosi at this point.

We don’t have to stick with anyone at this point. At the end of the day we have had 9 sacks with Perry at the qb the last 2 games too which is the same average sack rate Jarren has had per game. Whoever the guy is going foward enos and Diaz need to put them in best position to succeed formation wise and personnel wise by taking Zion out of the lineup at left tackle and putting scaife over there. Try Campbell/Herbert at right tackle or something..

Kosi was sacked 6 times in 3 quarters vs VT. Jarren held on to the ball vs UF in his first game but did much better getting rid of it after that

Dude, don't you think the LT would have been yanked by now? dUh

And believe or not. Perry has THEE FACTOR. Or is it MOXY! So yes, Perry is THEE ONE to lead Miami to the promise land in 19', at least for the time being.

Nevertheless your chico, Manny, will name JW starter. I just hope Miami wins by more than 14 points on Saturday. Because if not, the Hurricane Civil War between Quarterbacks will escalate come Saturn evening! If U Know What I Mean.

What is the it factor y’all talk about in the Kosi hive? 😂 it’s made up. Against VT Kosi threw the interception that would have ended the game but was bailed out by a roughing the passer call. He returned to normal form against UVA with whole drives without a completed pass. Sure he ran in for the game winner but Jarren would have hit Deejay who was wide open in the flat.

It factor is fake.
Consistency puts us in a better position to win now that the defense is playing better

Unfortunately, Enos isn’t going to change much. Enos just learn about some spread concepts at Bama. Either he’s gone or Manny has to hire a spread specialist to help him.

Jarren has been saved by fumble recoveries. Y’all can’t have it both ways.

Not there every day, so I can't say who's better for sure, but. . . Kosi just won. He's 1-0 as starter. He's 1-0 in ACC as starter. He's 1-0 vs ranked team as starter. Unless Kosi commits a felony between now and the next game, how do you possibly pull the kid? Seems like both he and JW have good rapport w/ WRs? Why pull Kosi? If he sucks, and JW is healthy (???), JW comes in for relief.

He recovered every fumble himself so I don’t know if that’s being saved

Fumble recoveries are almost entirely luck. So having you or your team recover every one of them, and there being multiple, is very lucky. It’s a valid point. If the ball bounces differently and even half are recovered by the defense, we may feel a little differently about Williams.
