Deep Dive into QB Stats

We don’t have to stick with anyone at this point. At the end of the day we have had 9 sacks with Perry at the qb the last 2 games too which is the same average sack rate Jarren has had per game. Whoever the guy is going foward enos and Diaz need to put them in best position to succeed formation wise and personnel wise by taking Zion out of the lineup at left tackle and putting scaife over there. Try Campbell/Herbert at right tackle or something..

All of Kosi sacks have come from unavoidable pressure. jarren has at least two sacks where he just ran out of bounds behind the LOS. Just dumb stupid sacks that can be avoided.

Don't try and use those alternative facts to defend jarren. Sack rate my ***, anyone with a brain can tell jarren takes the avoidable and unavoidable sacks

I pointed this out in another thread but Kosi's record as a QB where he took the majority of the snaps is 5-1. Overall he's 5-2 in games he started or took the most snaps.

Let's look at the two losses.

Loss #1 2018 UVA
He got pulled in the 2018 UVA game after 2 early picks. I defended Richt's decision but I was wrong. He should have let NKosi play through it. With Rosier playing most of the game, we still lost 16-13. I think Perry would have settled down and won the game.

Loss #2 2019 VT
Perry rallied Miami from 28 points down. Defense and ST blew it.

If not for Richts quick hook, Perry is 6-1. If Diaz is calling the defense in the VT game, Perry is 6-1 (or maybe 7-0 if he'd finished the UVA game) . In both situations the HC took victories away from Perry.

It's not pretty but for whatever reason the team responds better to Perry. I can't really explain it other than saying he has a Tebow-esque winner's mindset. He will find ways to win and the other players seem to play more inspired football when he's the QB. I think Diaz is making a bad decision to go back to JW. Give his shoulder another week of rest. Let Perry play GT.

If Jarren had the 2018 defense would he have won majority of those games yes or no? Or even in the first 2 games this year?

Kosi was sacked 6 times in 3 quarters vs VT. Jarren held on to the ball vs UF in his first game but did much better getting rid of it after that

Much better against Bethune and CMU?

Neither of these guys have been great, can't see how anyone can make an argument for one over the other. The offense sucks no matter who is in there.

I said once before I thought Perry would have been better for us against FL. Idk how anyone can deny the need for his pocket awareness right now. He’s making dudes miss consistently. Pulled a 3rd down and a TD out of his *** last week. You have to roll with him right now.

perhaps Jarren seeing Kosi run it few times will spark something in him and that’s even better.

We need packages, per Manolo...

People act like Jarren ain’t never made people miss in the pocket. Yes he needs to be a more willing runner because he’s capable of doing it but is he physically able to do it? For sure. He’s not some **** statue and after the uf game his pocket presence improved vs unc. With cmu he got sack on two unavoidable plays given up by Zion at the end of the first half and the other 2 he held the ball too long on that 2nd sack When the safety happened.

What an odd thing to say when N’kosi only completed one pass over ten yards all game. There hasn’t been one game like that for Jarren.

What a dumb thing to say when a 2 minute research shows he completed 8 passes last game of 10 yards or more. 8, the same amount of those plays Jarren mustered up against vaunted CMU.

Don't be an idiot AND a liar.

/Kosi also had 16 passes of 10 yards or more vs VT

Fvck out of here.

He’s referring to passes that traveled at least 10 yards in terms of distance before the receiver caught the ball not ones that ended up being 10 yards or more. Vs uva we only had one ball completed of that sort to kj on the first drive

What you showed count as sacks tho lol. He stepped out behind the los.

Thank you. That was obviously clear since he said Jarren can’t pass more than ten yards

Naw 1 was a hold the other a 2 yard gain lol. But regardless some people act like jarrens problem in the pocket persisted in other games like it did vs uf but that’s not the case let’s be real. Can he get better evading pressure? Of course but he can do it though
