Kinda feel bad for him.. went from buying Momma a new house money to shouldn't even start at Miami. He ain't getting drafted. He'll make a camp though, maybe. Anyone want extra tickets to the fire Mike Rumph train? I gave Rumph a chance because he a former cane and I thought he could develop CB making up for his incompentent recruiting ability. He can't even lock up former players at the HS he use to HC at and our DB are cheeks and don't even look for the ball.. We need a real DC and CB coach who aren't liabilities in recruiting.

I've been on that camp for a while now

these db's are getting SCHOOLED by teams that aren't even in power 5

Anybody see tape of him from Citadel? (I haven't). It's hard for me to believe that he was this bad on tape and the staff missed it. He was all-FCS last year and this year couldn't even stick FCS receivers on BCU let alone MAC receivers. It doesn't add up. Injured? Not getting the system? In cahoots with a gambling syndicate to point shave? I'm baffled.

The thing that got me is Toledo literally went to him every play. Like 'hey, whoever covered by 3 is getting the rock.

The TD was his fault because he was obviously in the wrong coverage, played a shallow zone instead of man like the other 10 players on defense that play. That is a mental thing. **** kid was shook.

I rather put redwine, dean or bandy in for him. He really is not playing his strengths.

If Rumph is that dude hes gonna put the best corners in next friday... so that means he benches Delaney. Simple. Maybe he bounces back... not playing like the vet we expected though.

If he gets us destroyed on friday I will start the gofundme to buy him a 1-way ticket back to the FCS

The question is, what did the coaches and players see in him during training camp? He was hyped up the whole summer.

I don't understand our coverage, guys on the outside we were playing off 5 yards and the guys in the slot we weren't even covering, coverage guy was 15 yards off. Their receivers were just going 10 yards and turning around. What happened to our press coverage?

Dude looks like he's definitely hittin "da kine" before every game ... no other logical explanation considering all the evals on him

Dee should be snatched! WR uncovered! OL getting no push! Richt's offense is what got his *** fired at Georgia! This team like his Georgia teams lack fire. I love what he has done and doing for the program, but if you struggle with the BCC's, Toledo's and not to mention the upsets at georgia, Richt and Diaz need to get their coaching **** together. No excuse about recruiting because you are suppose to have better players. Like I said last year he needs to hire an OC because offensive football has passed him by. We have to be less choir boys and more doggs. Sick of this politically correct, christian foundation BS! You need to bring the dogg out in you team every game!

Unless you are trying to evangelize an opponent before tackling them I am not sure what Christian foundations have to do with executing football game plans and assignments.

He has certainly underwhelmed. I think we learn to forgive him in the next two or three weeks.

It doesn't and acting out on emotions while under the influence, like it does for everybody, usually means you saying something or do something you normally wouldn't do. I usually preach patience and always tell guys to let the game play out before overacting. I didn't do that and have no problem with admitting my bad decision.

As a Christian I appreciate this response. Been there myself. Which is why I keep having to own my mistakes and go back to my foundation.

Bethune Cookman did the same thing. They went after him early and often just like Toledo did yesterday. I suspect it's going to be a recurring theme until he proves he can cover FBS receivers.

I think it's pretty obvious why, at this point the tape doesn't lie.

He's got zero lateral quickness. I've been keying in on this kid the first two games and it's amazing to me how much separation he gives up as soon as the receiver makes his break.

He's got zero anticipation, quickness, recovery speed, or veteran saavy. If this kid would have gone pro he'd have been cut before week 1.

What worries me more is that now that we've seen him play, if no one else on the roster beat him out for the spot we're in a world of ****. Every game is going to be a shoot-out.

Move Dallas to corner, start Redwine and Young at corner, Bandy to nickel, let Finley, Carter, and Knowles battle it out at safety in place of Redwine. Delaney and Dean off the bench.

According to Pete Delaney was going in the 2nd round and Jhavonte Dean was a one and done, oh and Nkosi is starting.

I'll stick to his recruiting evaluations.

Yep.

Pete also said he was a "physical" corner that was jamming WR's etc, making it difficult to get a clean release. That is almost LOL worthy.

Delaney is the antithesis of physical. And he hasn't jammed a DB in the 2 games we've played, against inferior opponents
