Why? To get cut from the practice squad? One of the best decisions he's made besides finishing his degree at Citadel. Now he knows he is not NFL, let alone P5 caliber.

To get a few paychecks before getting cut. He can finish his degree at any time for free.
 
Is this the size he played at Citadel? He looks too big. Someone needs to tell him Golden isn't the coach anymore.
 
Kinda feel bad for him.. went from buying Momma a new house money to shouldn't even start at Miami. He ain't getting drafted. He'll make a camp though, maybe. Anyone want extra tickets to the fire Mike Rumph train? I gave Rumph a chance because he a former cane and I thought he could develop CB making up for his incompentent recruiting ability. He can't even lock up former players at the HS he use to HC at and our DB are cheeks and don't even look for the ball.. We need a real DC and CB coach who aren't liabilities in recruiting.

The fire Mike Rumph train should be sold out. One of the most useless coaches in our history.

Why would a 5th year senior, who pretty much every Miami fan that watched the game today wants benched, make an NFL camp?
 
Not only is Delaney horrible...but it gives me SERIOUS doubt about our secondary depth.

If we truly do not have someone else on the depth chart that can beat him out we are in serious trouble this year. Corner back is now officially our biggest weakness on the team.
 
2nd game in a row, the opposing offense starts picking on him, and this against BC and Toledo. VT will have a field day against him.
 
This is a serious question: does anyone remember any Canes CB being this bad in the last decade?

The biggest issue with him is something we're not used to seeing from DB's at UM, and it's something that can't be taught or corrected.....

He has a serious lack of lateral quickness. Period. He's slow to flip his hips, react to the ball, and stay in good position in one-on-one coverage.

I don't like writing guys off so quickly but I think it's a matter of time before he goes to the bench. He looks like garbage to me.

Bad footwork, bad tackling, played shook today. Teams are going to be relentless picking on him this year. The first half defense, though, was a disaster in the back 7 today

That guy from Wake or something that played a year here.. Wore 41 I think.
I don't really get the Delaney stuff. It's hard to believe he's actually this bad. Im holding out hope that he isn't comfortable in our scheme yet but will pick it up as the season goes on, but he just looks so stiff out there
