Dead Period Extended to April

It's looking like cases of the Rona will be bad through flu season, even if it is getting less deadly. As long as they apply it across the board, i guess it's okay, but campus visits should be allowed if they're able to do it on their own who cares if the college pays.

The bigger question should be the Initial Counters cap of 85. If the NCAA does nothing, Miami is likely the biggest winner as some top 500 kids will get dropped by schools as they won't have room. Miami has room, likely 15-20 as of today. Even if the NCAA grants a single season with 10 additional spots (95), the 2022 season class will push more kids to programs that have space that Miami likely will have.

Miami has gotten to play 7 games (and counting), recruit local kids, local kids have been able to play some ball, could return every starter (not likely), AND add a full class of elite kids. The only thing that would make this better: Rumph getting replaced by an Elite recruiter.

Hopefully we can still have Opening/UA/Rivals camps in spring. Don't see why we wouldn't.

It wouldn't shock me to see them moved to the summer. Even 2-3 months will mean large percentages of the population have been given the vaccine.

I think Blake James mentioned on the OBB podcast that seniors (this season) who stay will not count towards the 85 for next season.

That would create some really unbalanced teams in ‘21. For example, a team with 20 seniors could play 2021 with 105 players then ‘22 hits and they won’t have space for anyone because they lose the extra 20 spots, likely return a bunch of current juniors who have two more year to play now...

The best option IMO is to tier it:
15 for 2021
10 for 2022
5 for 2023

Teams will all have 25yos on the roster for the next 4-5 years. Lol
