He should be 290 by next season. I was beating the table about this all summer, his future is at DT. If Blount didn’t reclassified he would have enrolled with the 25 class as a 270 pound 5 star DT.

When he was a prospect I said he’d start out at de then slowly work his way into an inside full time position. This year was more of a hybrid role but the move is coming. It was only a matter of time.

Blount will be used the EXACT same way next year as he is this year, except more at Edge. He's not going to be primarily playing DT imo.

The natural progression is Blount takes Bains role and Lightfoot takes his/Mesidors role. And then Obviously Lowe and Scroggins will get worked in and Blount will move inside often.

We will only need a high floor DT3 type to bring in IF Moten returns. That would be MAJOR. I'd expect Justin Scott to take a major leap (more like sustain or improve the level he is currently at for an entire season). Simpson will be a rotational piece. And then You hope...

At this stage, he's just a straight up bully inside. He needs to continue to grow into his body and develop a move or two but I agree. I think he can help outside in certain situations vs heavy personnel.

He still needs a good offseason of S&C to be an impact In the middle. Keep in mind he was a reclassification kid that is making the switch to DT. That’s gonna take some time.
