Not a good idea because when Manny decides he needs to give up playcalling and hire a DC... you’ve gotta take the title away and demote your best guy on staff.

I think manny hires a true DC. Don’t think he wants to call the defense.

Agree. I think he is working to get an elite DC here... if he can't right now, then him calling the D with the support of the staff and analysts is the right solution over hiring the wrong DC and being stuck with him somewhat. I'd rather wait a year and grab one of the 5 guys you have your eyes on when they become available.

You can’t do that. We only have one more coaching spot to fill. 10 coaches period. If T Williams is hired then Manny is the DC.

Sounds like it’s a possible DC that would double as LB coach, or only T Rob at worst, which would still be a fine option of course.
