Bandy going out hurt us bad for sure more than I thought initially, dean gave up nearly all of their yards.... He guarded Jefferson the most and gave up a near td to chase and if it was reviewed it would have been overturned as he didn’t have clear possession before going out of bounds but they never reviewed it. Watch the film he legit gave up every big play....

Mike jack gave up a little 9 yard slant when he was beat early in the game but other than that he was very solid.

Blades gave up less than 20 yards from what I rememeber And was very solid in his first game. He completely took Jonathan Giles LSU best receiver out of the game...

At this point the freshman need to play ahead of dean.

The dude that breaks down the games on Twitter (Daniel Gould maybe?) said Dean didn't play a snap in the second half, Ivey got all his snaps.

Blades only played nickel. Dude said he thinks Bandy stays outside and Blades becomes nickel, as our primary nickel defensive unit.

Major props to Blades.
 
Play the freshman - Blades, Ivey, Frierson

Don’t want to see Dean in there for more than 20% of the time

Dean was up and down. He made some good plays and some bad plays. I’m not giving up on anyone on that defense other than Knowles and rotating players constantly. LSUs starting field position was insane and tough for a defense to overcome.

Not sure why all the hate on Redwine. He and Jaquan did their jobs. He wasn't even in the game on that 50 yard run. Knowles was.

So coach makes the call to sit everyone who isn't up to snuff even if it means putting in a freshmen who has only been here 2 months (Blades) but refuses to pull Rosier and give Weldon or Williams a shot? Hmmm..Makes sense! Smh.
 
Honestly...I think dean is actually playing out of position. Guy is probably the best DB when it comes to tackling outside of Quan. Staff should really look at what he could do at Safety.

Watch him play. When Dean hits another guy they go down...seriously. There’s enough tape from LSU lol.

Don't want him out there at all. Play the freshman. We've known who Dean is since he showed us his 2 inch vertical versu VTech last year. That **** was embarrassing. Stage is too big and bright for him.

Agree... I think Dean has a place in the rotation but not as a starter.

Also Redwine was solid imo, I thought he played a better game than Jaquan actually. I believe it had more to do w/ Diaz's ****** play calling but Jaquan wasn't in on run support like I usually see him. Seemed to be out of the play most of the time.

And Gurvan Hall should definitely be taking all of Knowles snaps

We had the #1 ranked Juco TE and DT before so why are you surprised? Juco are no better then just getting a freshman that's why I said we need to rely on Jucos/transfers less. This was why golden could never field a decent DL.

I'm 100% convinced this staff would've had Surtain/Jobe/Campbell all playing behind Dean and Knowles.
