Omar Thornton, a 5-foot-11, 201-pound nickel defender from Boston College, has committed to the Miami Hurricanes. A Broward County native, Thornton starred at American Heritage High School, where he was a teammate of freshman wide receiver Malachi Toney and was named the Sun Sentinel Broward 2M-1M Defensive Player of the Year. He arrives at Miami with two years of eligibility remaining and enters the program as the No. 5-ranked safety in the transfer portal.

I love the boom and the enforcer type attitude but as I was saying on the other thread before it closed, staff has to work with him to clean up his 20% missed tackle rate and 6 tds on 31 chances. If that happens, dude is straight Ronnie Lott.

Yeah I think the traits are there if our coaches can coach him up he’s going be so good.
