Carson was off a bit and 30 mph winds.

With that said, he stuck with what worked the last few weeks instead seeing what was working. He finally figured it out in the 4th. Mesh, mesh spot and inside run
I’m just glad he didn’t get in the way like the Louisville game and lose it forcing stuff

He stayed in the game and at the end did enough to “help” the run game dominate when we needed it the most

To end last year it was FAR MORE EFFECTIVE than regular shotgun running too. It's just objectively better for our style or run gameplan AND RBs. Pringle I'm more fine out of regular shotgun cause he is more agile to hit the cutbacks out of regular shotgun. But pistol just makes it easier on the rbs to get downfield and cut.
I think timing, with the extra couple yards of depth gives our RBs an extra beat to see it develop and cut and go.

Strange one today

I didn’t hate the philosophy

Attacking the perimeter to soften the middle and getting the ball to Toney as much as possible

But still **** was off. Beck was pretty bad looked like more than a few big plays were missed due to bad throws but yes terrible conditions as well

Yes, we did.

Which is why you run the fcking ball.

You know, with the guy who is averaging 12 yards a carry.
Well he wasn’t averaging 12 yards per carry until after the last drive. To each their own. Me, I would wait at least one day before I started crying like a little baby about it.

What peole also miss is that a lot of these runs are designed to be able to be cut back, right. So just think about it if you get the ball out of regular shotgun lined up to the side of the qb you are going much more flat already and then your cut back is MUCH more difficult.

Which version of these runs do you think a Bigger slower accelerating back is going to be more successful at?

There was 30 mph winds today and he was 14/20.

It's so easy to tell when a porster has never thrown a football with a 30mph cross wind.

Stop embarrassing yourself.
Oh please... Beck issues were not wind related today. We saw Reed absolutely uncork a 60 yard bomb in the same wind. I don't think Beck threw an accurate pass over 10 yards all day
