Dawson is what prevented us from a title. We probably need a new OC

40 yards and 1 min to win. 2nd and 3. The MOST important thing in that situation is don't turn the ball over or take a sack. That's end of game mgmt 101. Look if they stop us on 4th and whatever, then I can live with that. I don't necessarily hate the call but Beck choked. Don't throw it if there is even the slightest chance it will get picked. He's a big reason we made it this far but being smart with the football wins us that game.

We had the number 1 offense with Dawson and Ward. If he can get even get Ward-lite production out of Mensah, we will be right back in contention.

And the whole staff deserves a lot of credit for this season, putting together this roster, and fixing a lot of issues from last year.

Staff is going to make mistakes but we’ve come a long way these last few years. It was Indiana’s year.

Im not blaming Dawson for this loss. He didnt whiff on a punt block or miss a field goal.

That said, in two of the four playoff games (TAMU & IU) he played with his food the entire first half, and called a totally predictable half. We were scoreless at halftime and got the opening kickoff.

I'd like to see us bring in Mike McDaniel if he wants it.

I hear you, but think about it like this. When has our offense actually looked good? The only time it did, we had a generational player in Cam Ward. Outside of that, nobody has really looked good in this offense. At some point it stops being about players and starts being about the system. How many more data points do you need to see before calling it what it is? I’m not saying he’s terrible, but I’ve seen enough at this point to think it would probably be a good decision to move on.
 
Yall can blame the players all you want and they made ton of mistakes for sure.

But we consistently started slow offensively all season. Most teams have their best **** early in games and somehow we were the opposite.

It took Dawson until mid 3rd quarter to start finding a good way to attack Indiana its just not good enough.

You have to make adjustments faster period.
 
The OL got their *** kicked in the first half.

There is not a lot you can do as an OC when that’s happening.

And to top it off, your WRs can’t get separation.

2nd half, we opened it up a little but only because our OL stepped it up.

Dawson made some puzzling decisions for sure in that first half, but there is no substitute for the OL getting stomped.

This, the skill on offense was ***. You bracket Toney and its a wrap

Dawson is fine. he's infuriating sometimes for sure. But Mario would be far more likely to hire someone worse.

Mensah I think will deliver a far more explosive passing game, which will elevate this offense a lot.

But please this is one of the reasons we needed a top TE in portal, and we completely ignored it....
