He openly admits his downfall…he is impatient and goes away from the run too quick…

The last play was not necessary with 53 seconds to go. Play for 1st downs or OOB to stop the clock and move it like we had to get there.

I don’t think it was his tendencies as much as he had to do what he could with what he had. He had a QB whose arm strength wasn’t there and accuracy was shaky for a lot of the year. He had no go to tight end. None of our receivers could separate.

They had no other option but to run the offense within 20 yards. Maybe that’s why Marion wasn’t expecting that pass.

I watched more college football this year than I have any other year in my life. I saw teams doing things on offense that we couldn’t do. For the past two years we did not have the receiver. The only difference offensively between last year and this year was the fact that we had a QB that could make chicken salad out of chicken sht.

When was the last time a p4 team had the number one offense in the country with none of their receivers able to make the starting lineup on an nfl team? Arroyo is the only deception and he barely had any targets.
However, just like the other Cajun boy, he’s gonna have to go just on the optics alone.
 
I have a pet theory here... I don't like that Dawson is OC/QB coach and is on the sidelines during the game. Maybe he is slow to adjust because he's not seeing the game or maybe he is doing too many things when the defense is not on the field.

You don't need a QB coach if the plan is to portal in fully developed players to be the guy. But I think we are losing something in terms of development, another creative mind in the building, gameday management. I think a good QB coach could help.

He is not hitting on a Grand National with the Turbo. The 3800 straight 6.

His play calling goes into our strength once the turbo spools.

You all crazy. Dawson is one of the top place callers. Stop it! You all act like you don’t watch football for real. Beck’s inability to really throw ball made Dawson look bad. The defense was **** near begging for Beck to throw the ball. There’s nothing wrong with Dawson

I’ll NEVER bash Carson beck. But there is something that has existed here since NOTRE DAME. Dawson told yall how he felt all season.

Agree 100%, but the dude is not changing at his age.

The trouble with Dawson, this wasn’t just a playoff issue, it was an all-season issue. Too many times the offense was just stagnant.

He has zero awareness
Whatever he gameplans going into the game, hardly ever works
He is slow to realize what isn’t working
He is slow to realize what is working
All the brilliant plays he does pull out his back side are never used until desperation kicks in or up by 2 scores.

He practically never adjusts plays to fool defenses with his tendencies
Trick plays at the wrong times

When he does finally get it together, he is decent, but he can go three quarters before he realizes. You can beat Pitt but, in the playoffs, he is in over his head.

Mario should hire an assistant for him.

the only real benefit to being in booth rather than sideline is if you expect him to be calling audibles in QBs ear presnap. Which we don’t do because we huddle up and break huddles late

Stop it. Believe the final score is determined by points from 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th quarters. Just like baseball accumulates runs via innings. Coaches make adjustments. Trash Dawson if you like. Fly a banner over the Hecht. Fire his dopey ***. But for all the ranting, on the biggest stage last night, his offense ultimately generated more points than the coach/team that many believe walk on water.

College football is the most emotional sport there is man...why do you think Miami has been so great historically and this past season? A lot of it is the channeling of emotion in a positive direction.
 
We had the #1 offense in college football last year. Even with Cam under center, that is not an easy thing to accomplish. He isnt a savant, nor is he cheeks. He is an above average OC. He has his moments both good and bad. Hopefully with more weapons on the outside, he can call a more diverse game and keep opponents off balance. Hoping he improves on his weaknesses.

Be careful what you wish for and what we would get if we have to replace him. Im ok with him staying. But I wont throw a fit either if he goes depending on who we get.

People here are already mad at Hetherman for the defense he called in the first half when he was down a starting corner. We gave up just 10 points in that half to a team that scores a ton of points, and only would have given up 3 but for a couple of 3rd down penalties. Special place here.

I imagine if there are any small children in attendance and they barely touch Bauman unfortunately that will jar the coffin lose from his pathetically weak hands...

Yes and he can get his a** in the box where he can see things/ field better...

Just a hunch but I feel like it would help him.

Dawson will design a blatantly obvious plan to run me into the ground. I'll gain zero yards and end up in a cloud of dust and disappointment. He'll call someone an idiot for questioning him, and continue to relentlessly underwhelm for about half of my funeral before realizing the same thing over and over again isn't working.
