I do however don't like how he said our QBs are throwers and he doesn't readily like QB run, read option etc...I don't see why we need to limit our skillsets and thus our playsheet (granted that Beck is not a runner himself, but we should be recruiting guys who can do it all).

Did he really say they called like 15 stretch that ended up in the a or b gap? I don't know that anybody is mad if a stretch run ends up b gap because the line moved over several yards. Straight forward into the back of the center or tackle incessantly is the problem for me. Only thing I can say about that conversation is I'm glad he's feeling the heat. If that reduces the straight into the back of the line play calls I'll take it. You'd think Stanford stuffing you for a half would be a clue but here we are with Dawson doubling down. There's a whole ******* field there we could call plays into.. work smarter not harder.

Yes, most teams have these, or variations of these plays, including the OZ stuff he's talking about, but that doesn't change the fact that they represent maybe 10 or 20% of the run variations would could run with our personnel.

We don't have any stretch plays, pitches, counters, traps, no pistol formations (we ran one once, I think), no wide zone sets?
