Dawson is fed up with the inside run talk

Around 75ish carries for about 200 yards in those 10 quarters. I don’t know how good you are at math, so I’ll answer it for you. It’s ******* terrible. So yea that’s having your *** handed to
you.

Idk what passing well against FSU has to do with the run game.

Dawson is a smart ***, but he’s not condescending toward reporters, until now.
nobody is arguing the Louisville game - but complaining about the FSU game offensively (outside of player error in the 4th quarter) - is just stupid man

watch the game - they loaded the box and Carson Beck torched them. but because there wasn't rushing yards, you're using it for your narrative?

we just beat a conference opponent by 35 and rushed for 200 yards and you're crying on here like your turtle died

not to mention referencing quarter is just idiotic. pretending that the rushing attempts and wear down of the DL over the course of the game doesn't count and doesn't set up the running game in the second half just is about as idiotic as the rest of the post

our team played unmotivated against Louisville (particularly in the rushing game) and we still would have won if it weren't for an epic meltdown Carson Beck game.

the rest? shut the **** up about it or go follow UF and FSU and ***** over there - there's plenty to ***** about in those two fanbases at the moment

I'm fine with it on 1-2 to go. We convert a ton. And it allows leak and mesh.

Many teams play bullyball on short to go and then do something else other downs
We have very rarely run play action in those situations. Tried it against FSU at the end of the game and it was wide open, but Toney ran into the OL. Teams are selling out and we should have some wide open opportunities if we have the nuts to take a shot. And eventually, if you show that you have those cards in your deck, teams have to honor it and not bring everyone.

Last week, Dawson gave us the “it is what it is” and this week, he’s getting defensive about his stupid running scheme? I have seen this BS before. It’s the beginning of the end.
I never understood locking in and not being willing to adapt. FFS Saban was winning nattys 24-10 playing bully ball and decided to switch it up to a spread offense, which ironically still had the ability to play bully ball when they needed to.

Dawson is smart and explains offense really well.

Still, he sounded a little ridiculous. He either is blind and brainwashed by Mario or is pretending he doesn’t know what everyone is asking, in order to protect his job.

This is literally Mario’s run game identity. This is how he likes for the run game to look. Just say that..

All that extra bs he was talking is straight up bull****. They don’t even attempt to mix it up in the run game. It only bounces to the outside because we have RBs with a brain who realize the bs call up the middle isn’t going to work.

**** is very alarming when coaches feel the need to be stubborn and try to convince everyone else the bs they talking makes sense
Dawson did a lot of this at Houston too. Their fans had the exact complaint about him.

It's not half but it's a lot more than this board would lead you to believe.

If you didn't watch the games and came on here, you'd literally think 100% of the run calls were duo into the A-gaps. That's not true. But yes, it is more than what most teams run.
In the first half it certainly seemed like the only run play called was, “Tight formation-run into the fat guys.”

You're right. We saw a little bit of that dynamic with rpo vs Stanford in the second half, both outta bunch and doubles.

The defenses we face understand our tendencies. They get the analytics. If someone does it 92% of the time, you're **** sure I'm going to bank on it...and if it bites me 10% as a defense, then kudos to the O.

Every ******* time. The center sucks!! Terrible in the run game.

Why wouldn’t you spread everyone out here and let your massive line work 1v1 vs Stanford line to get 1 yard.

Brought 8 guys into the box here.

The counter Feisty Dawson is envisioning (inside run)...

What normally occurs...

This is literally what he said. It’s all dictated by the defense. The first clip the DE set the edge hard and made the cut inside the only way to not lose yards. Seconds clip there was not a set edge and crashed inside which makes you have to bounce. Idk if some of yall actually played ball but this seems like common knowledge

That’s what those who are supporting this brand of football don’t understand. It’s much more difficult than it has to be. Instead we’ll just continue to run into a brick wall head first.

I dig it from all angles honestly

Someone needs to ask questions even if the coach thinks it’s dumb

I remember Dorito and Golden and their arrogance defending their defense like everyone was too stupid to understand but them

That’s not Dawson, not yet anyway
I am waiting for Dawson to scream "just let me coach!" like Dorito did when getting heckled on sideline against FAU.
