Toney double reverse that got us into the redzone, fake bubble screen to start that drive. Those are gimmicky plays that offenses do when they are struggling to create big plays thru their drop back game

You can be the most creative play designer ever, if your oline and qb can’t survive in the drop back game your offense will struggle.

And this notion that we just run a bunch of Agap is just a lie that keeps getting repeated. This is the most diverse the run game has ever been here i don’t think yall pay attention enough, just because it doesn’t work doesn’t mean you go away from it.You have to be able to run between the tackles or nothing else matters, when it works it’s cricket when it gets stuffed yall say its too much Agap. Its never the oline fault or the rb fault its just oh too much Agap lol

I gave him D-…only thing that kept him from an F was the hb pass by toney
 
My only real gripe with Dawson is what he did coming out of the 2 min warning. It was inexcusable. I’m not really gonna blame that all on him though, I feel like that was the agreed plan between him, Mario, and Mirabal that almost cost them the game.

In the first half it was the same vanilla run game that gets us into trouble. We have creative run plays, he simply only brings them out when the inside zone run over and over is not working, after it leads us to a bunch of 3rd and longs and 3 and out.

If you actually watched Mensah play at Tulane and Duke you would know this is who he is. He is a mixture of Beck and Ward. He doesn’t always take the short stuff. And in this game he didn’t.
 
TrumpyCane read about Mensah this off season that last year at Duke it was really a one read offense and here the offense requires to go through your progressions, might be by why, who knows

Looked like a coordinated effort with most everyone taking their turn.

Offense. Defense. Coaching. Refs.

I didn't see a lot of consistency anywhere.

I gotta give credit - FSU came to play. UM thought they were going to lay down for us.

All those stats we had prior to the game? Against WHO?
 
When we are losing Dawson has a ton of plays that work well. His problem is predictability on down/distance, time, and formation. Too many are dead on impact.

And whoever controls the rotations of RB, WR are bad.

But as a few stated there were players open underneath or on flares essentially all game that Mensah either couldn’t hit or didn’t want to

I think he should be fired, getting close to 600 yards against our rival in the rain is absolutely unforgivable
 
The only thing with Dawson is the **** run plays up the middle. We need more outside runs. Creativity has went to **** too. We finally brought out the Mali stuff for this game. Maybe they’re trying to limit his touches but if that was the case, take his *** off punt return.
