Dawson’s Game Plan w/o Mali

Mensah has forced it into Mail on some of his throws. Can't blame him because they almost always end up as catches. But this will hopefully get him to look around a little more and get others more involved. We do not lack the weapons.
Agree. “Necessity is the mother of invention.” In this case though, adversity will be the mother of success via diverse players. Mensah will have to be a problem solver in the pocket. He can do it.

Couldn't disagree more with those saying go heavy personnel groupings and play limited smash mouth. You're playing into Notre Dame's hands. For what? If we're expected to lose the game anyway, why run anything but our offense? In fact, be even more aggressive with it. Notre Dame's DC is playing zone something like 65% of the time. Carve those m'f'ers up with the most accurate QB they will face.

Let’s not forget that the slot eats in Dawsons offense. Mali is an amazing player. Combine the fact the slot eats, you have a heisman contender. However, whoever takes his spot can eat too. Not to the level of Mali, but think Restrepo type productivity. Let’s see what Upshaw can do. He does not seem like a guy afraid of the moment.

I hear you however I am betting we are more ready on play calling than expected
- MT has limped out of games multiple times

We have also involved the other WRs more than most realize
- Example Ohio State and WRs receptions behind J Smith are 20, 13, 11 & 11
- Miami after MT: 28, 22, 20, 9

The key is 3rd down ...

You guys seriously don't think they have at least the basis of a contingency plan for this sort of thing occuring? **** I played in the NAIA and we did decades ago. When someone is that major a part of an offense you might have to switch to it mid game if they get injured. We just need to run the **** ball like we have on them in the past.

I'm not worried about Dawson..we have enough weapons on O to score. I'm worried about Heatherman. Needs to coach the best game of the year.

Dawson will score 30+. If he gets enough possessions.

Agree come out slinging then pound them into the ground. Defense gets a few stops we roll
