I was being sarcastic about the 10 5 stars. Just making a point people expect perfect results when it comes to recruiting. I think a good season gets us up to 5.

I know where you were going; but I really believe that we will get 3 to 5 and a whole bunch of Top 150 players. Plazz was our last 3 Star. People have to realize that the High 4 and 5 Stars commit on their timetables and it would probably behoove them to hold off until the very end to drive up the bags.
They will always have a spot, no matter how late.

Again it’s not really about the fact we missed on this specific kid. It’s that we 1) have missed on 3 out of the last 4 commits where the “staff felt good,” meaning we are being lied to or we are naive (or both) and 2) we are not closing the gap on what is very clearly a troubling trend and below average class for what we are paying Mario to achieve. We can’t add another player out of the top 1000 and then whiff on the big recruit. That’s how you end up sucking and lighting candles while you pray for 10 wins and flips.

The staff didn’t feel good here. I said from beginning they thought it was a toss up and had no idea what he would do.

Mitchell had a good NIL meeting with our people last night but even then they knew it would be a back-and-forth deal, which is the same thing OU 247 reported.
