Dead period doesn't stop a kid from visiting campus on his own. There is just no in person contact with the coaches allowed. Coaches are allowed to call tho. So he could be on campus and still speak with the coaches.

The minute he makes it official he reclassified he will be dropped to a 4*,likely in the top 5-10 TEs for 24.

He’ll be a top 5 TE in this class if he reclassifies he’ll be a top 175 player for sure

Yeah it’s changed a lot recently probably because they realized they can’t do much to stop communication these days

Coaches can get around the meeting and talking to players when they are not supposed to.
I don't know when this particular period of recruiting calendar was, maybe an underclassmen. Anyways the high school coach brought kid in hearing distance of this big time program Head Coach. The Head coach and the high school coach had a "loud" conversation where the College guy was giving this recruit a sales pitch. It was a work around to the written rule.

My buddy coached a big time tackle prospect, and he told me most coaches don't even make any attempt to follow the rule. Most coaches straight up talked to the kid face to face.
