we got more efficient. Now we don’t schedule interviews. We just hire the DC from the failed regime.

I Love him...the entire story from Kindergarten School teacher too a proven young Innovative OC at UM would be a Win..Win look for UM....Dont let that Beatnik Surfer look fool you....

Would love that hire. My biggest concern with this off-season is the potential hot seat that Manny could very well be in. If we go 5-7, he’s on it, as he should be.

That being the case, would a guy like Yost (or any other OC worth a ****), come to Miami knowing that the HC is coaching for his job the next year? Manny fails again in 2020 and he’s likely gone along with the entire staff. That could scare people away.

Our best hope is we finish strong (I know, I know), keep the recruiting class together, Manny makes changes ala Orgeron at LSU, and we show promise to capable coordinators like Yost.

Watch Yost on YOUTUBE...Watch him work with WRs...RBs and QBs...watch how he coaches AND kicks it with them...

He did a great Job at Mizzou with Chase Daniel. Problem was they never could play defense. Those offenses had a lot of draft picks. They just couldn’t get past the OU and Texas of the world bc they had better defense.
The QBs love him as well.

Isn't an interview at the very least with a Brilliant Def mind like Patterson better than turning around and hiring Shannon??....Jesus Christ the ineptitude of this University....

The reason I remember that and it has always stuck with me is that when I read it I couldn't belive they didnt wait to at least go through the interview.
There was NO RUSH to hire Shannon. No one was coming to hire Shannon. It was just so lazy to not even bother to sit with Patterson and try.
Amazingly lazy and stupid and everything that has happened since to this day proves thats how we operate.
