David Lake

Honestly, all in all the world of Kane‘s content in YouTube type shows or podcasts is really pretty good even those that are maybe not as informed can be certainly entertaining. There’s also a lot of collaboration and mutual support across the ecosystem because that’s not certainly the same case for a lot of other teams. It’s actually smart since most people binge watch content from their teams and it’s very rare that they don’t watch one channel because they watch another, although an exception certainly should be made for that weasel piece of ****, Nevin Shapiro.

Stumbled on a podcast by Geo and caneswear that had Tolbert Bain and Bennie Blades (with thorpe award shining in background for the people who forget about him) , they had Pat Surtain Sr. as guest and trick daddy was on in first half and Daryl Porter Sr. was on second half.. Trick alone had me rolling as he was talking **** about Noles but Pat Surtain stories about recruiting KJ Bolden and trying to coach against Canes last year was hilarious also..

Lake has always been very good. This site (and the world?) just irrationally hates on everything/everyone who has a crumb of success due to low IQ’s spawning jealousy, but that’s a conversation for another day.

Few people in the media have more historical knowledge, valuable opinions and can articulate thoughts better than Lake.
Low IQs spawn jealousy

I'm going to take that one

speaking of lance, what happened to his appearances?
Just so I have the opportunity to speak about it. And in case anyone actually cares to know:

I have three littles. Ages 11, 9, 7.

They're involved with so many things nowadays we are doing something most evenings.

The podcast appearances started as "hey, we need someone to fill all this time we have. Can you join this week and just talk about ___?"

For reasons that still amaze me, the response was fairly positive when I came on. Honestly, quite humbling to some Midwestern idiot to get the opportunity to appear on a show as large as CIS and have people ask for me to appear more often. I'm so appreciative of that and it will always hold a soft spot for me.

Then businesses/fans actually wanted to "sponsor" me to come on. Again, that is something I would never have believed anyone would want to do.

With that, all internally, I brought pressure upon myself to deliver a great product and prepare for appearances. I felt an obligation to anyone giving me money to appear to put time in and work hard.

At the same time, I was fortunate enough that my actual career had taken real steps forward and that included $$$, but also...stress.

As the CIS appearances grew, again, for reasons I truly appreciate, there was an opportunity to do more on the podcast.

With that, more stress. I decided something needed to be reduced for me to remain in balance. I chose the podcast to go.

It was my decision. @DMoney has done so much for me and I felt like I owed it to him to tell him how I felt rather than mailing it in and impacting the quality of his show. He understood.

So now, I pretty much do it as I have time and he's stated I can join as I have time and mental capacity to do so.

Honestly, you can't really ask for someone to handle it any better than he does.

you the man and sounds like (aside from the stress lol), it's all good things!

Same. I'll catch a Steve Kim episode from time to time but Lake is a guaranteed listen. The rest are just filler and haven't listened in quite a while. It's all fanboy and state media noise.
Where is the best place to get Steve’s content? YouTube doesn’t have any new videos of him.
