2027 David Folorunsho 5* DT From Chicago, IL (St. Patrick HS)

I'll never understand why people from around here have a hard on for ND. They haven't won **** since 1988. Just a bunch of old ***** reliving their glory days and brainwashing their kids and grandkids. That's pretty much the best way I could put it. Chicago has never really been a hotbed for D1 talent especially at the P4 schools so this is new territory for me.

I knew Lightfoot was going to be a player coming in for Miami since he's from a CPS school and those guys play with extra intensity. Scott I wasn't high on to begin with. Sources from the area told me he was soft and got bullied by undersized OL. But that has been put to rest with the year he had in 2025.

One school Mario needs to key in on is Mt Carmel. Jordan Lynch is their HC and he's a former Heisman finalist at NIU. These guys and East St Louis are the two best schools in the state and pump out dudes every year.
Notice I didn't say Lightfoot. I knew he was a public school kid so he doesn't factor into the Catholic school discussion. Kind of a traditional double draw since ND is Catholic and local, but yeah, **** Dem Leprechauns...

I went to Rice and I hated my time there. Bunch of stuck up pricks who think they are hot ****. All my close friends went to other area Catholic schools like Mt Carmel and St Rita. But yea Rice is 100% Notre Dame ****riders.
Have two good friends from Beverly and an ex as well. That neighborhood is littered with ND alums and ‘subway alumni’. I know the school isn’t exactly in Beverly but I know the demo very well.

Getting in that school would be great though. A good friend of mine has a nephew who got eliminated by them this past fall and he said the kids are as advertised especially the 28 kid.

I did notice that. Sorry I was just going through the Chicago guys on the roster. All the younger people are brainwashed here. People want to talk **** how Miami hasn't been relevant well what exactly has ND done since 1988? When they made the national championship they got their **** kicked in. Miami was actually one play/one drive away from winning with their last two appearances.

If it weren’t for that bull**** fumble call with C. Gary, you’d have to go back to’78 or whatever for their last championship. Their smugness is pretty mind-blowing, but I’ve actually started to dislike the OSU crowd more these days. Though they’re fewer in numbers in my area.

- I just finished an all-encompassing interview with Chicago St. Patrick four-star DL David Folorunsho, Rivals' No. 2 defensive lineman in the 2027 class. I'll have a complete report posted on his recruitment this evening, but I wanted to give you guys the rundown before I get to writing it.

Folorunsho did not name an outright leader, even though he told Steve Wiltfong earlier this week that Miami is at the top of his list. I asked Folorunsho to clarify, and he said there is a group of schools at the top of his recruitment. He only chose to recognize Notre Dame and Miami as those programs. They are the two schools he's certain he's officially visiting, with his return trip to South Bend remaining locked in for the weekend of June 12.

So what does that mean for Texas Tech? Well, Folorunsho didn't really talk about it despite me asking about the Red Raiders. His agency represents Felix Ojo and Jalen Brewster — so I gather that's where the latest buzz is coming from there.

Could Texas Tech end up winning this recruitment? Absolutely. Do I think it has the lead because of the connections to Ojo and Brewster? I don't. I think it comes down to Notre Dame and Miami unless Texas Tech makes some sort of ginormous offer that he can't possibly refuse.

As for the NIL portion of his recruitment, Folorunsho told me he has "numbers" from every school, that Notre Dame is competitive and he is comfortable with the offer the Irish have made. Don't misconstrue my reporting for this being an "NIL recruitment." NIL isn't the boogeyman. It's legal and a major part of college football. Notre Dame pays players generously. And the Irish are right there in Folorunsho's recruitment.

First time I’ve seen a reasonable approach to the media discussing NIL with Miami being involved.

Let's wait till he commits to the good guys, then we'll see.
"Sources in South Bend told us they backed out of this bidding war upon hearing the opportunity to match Folorunsho's offer from South Beach. It's been said Miami has offered $12M/3yrs, 2 cars of his choosing, flights and stays for his family 2x a month, 300hrs of yacht rentals, a house in Coral Gables, 4 memberships to Trump National golf course in Doral, Cristobal's newborn son, a unicorn, and partial ownership in the country of Cuba."
