In Manny we trust. But Temple definitely needs better bio writers...

DAVIDFEELEY

  • TITLE Assistant Athletics Director, Football Sports Performance
In his first move as head football coach at Temple University, Manny Diaz retained head strength and conditioning coach David Feeley giving him the new title of Assistant Athletics Director, Football Sports Performance.

Feeley, who will enter his 14th season working in collegiate football, came to Temple in 2017 as one of Geoff Collins’ first hires. The two first linked up when they were both on FIU coaching staff in 2010. During that season, Feeley was the assistant strength and conditioning coach (2008-10). The two helped guide the Panthers to a 7-6 record during the 2010 season, and a win in the Little Caesar's Pizza Bowl, which was the first bowl win in program history. Feeley also assisted with women's tennis, softball and baseball during his three years at FIU.

Feeley came to Temple from the University of South Carolina where he was the assistant strength and conditioning coach for one season. He helped guide the 2016 Gamecocks to a 6-6 record and reach the Birmingham Bowl, while mentoring senior DL Darius English to reach SEC second-team all-conference honors.

Before that he worked as the director of football strength and conditioning at Ball State from 2011-15. During that time, he helped the Cardinals earn two bowl appearances - the 2012 Beef O' Brady Bowl and the 2013 GoDaddy.com Bowl. He also assisted with the women's basketball team that made three-straight NIT appearances.

Feeley began his professional career as an intern at Rutgers and South Florida before becoming the strength and conditioning graduate assistant for football, women's track, softball and baseball at UNLV from 2006-07.

A South Jersey native, Feeley grew up in Brick, N.J. He is a 2004 graduate of Plymouth State University, where he was a member of the football team for four years, including serving as the team captain during his senior season.

Feeley is married to the former Ann Marie DeGiglio, and they have a daughter, Laura Marie, and son, John Francis
This guy “helped guide” every team he was involved with to Mediocrity! Perfect!!

Andre Ward literally said, it was getting harder to make the weight. Out of is own mouth. You probably also think Prince Naseem Hammed was a good fight too.

Again that is not what Andre Ward said. Andre was known for walking around at his fight weight which is relatively rare among fighters who have not jumped weight classes(like pacman and Mayweather). So when he was SMW he was getting tons of interviews asking him if he would jump to fight kovalev(especially post dawson). He said when I finally bulk up to LHW I will fight all of the LHWs. He purposely bulked up to that, but did it slowly. You may have only seen his interview after he was a LHW where he stated that he was finally walking around heavy enough to fight at LHW.

Naseem Hamed was a very talented fighter so I don't really see what your point in asking me about that is. No one ever disputes how talented he was. He was one of the few fighters that was able to throw double crosses quick enough to actually catch people. RJJ was another one that did that. Had naseem trained harder and was more disciplined to his craft he also could have had a must more successful and long career.

I throw stuff out to gauge what you know. If your using google and just looking at stats then I have my answer. Prince Naseem was a bum. He didn’t fight a soul worth mentioning. Sure he looked good and cool but he fought bums. Remember when Auguie Sanchez cane out with those Elvis impersonators and left on a stretcher? I literally watched that fight. When he finally fought the baby faced assassin, he got exposed and embarrassed because he fought a real fighter. The jump from Sanchez to Barrera was soo significant. So people can “say” he was good and yes he never trained seriously but if you watched him competition and his actual fights you’d know he wasn’t. Like Emanuel Agustus. You can google his record and think he’s a bum. And you’d be wrong. The drunken master was a great fighter. Some of the best fights I saw on USA when they shows the fights. But he got cheated so much. But you have to know, to know.

Great technique

Yah ********* you throw stuff out to see what I know LMFAO. That is one of the worst responses I have ever seen to being proven wrong. I don't call naseem talented because of his dancing skills. I never said he was a GOOD fighter I said he was very talented. Which is a fact. The man had very good power(One of the hardest punchers ever at his weight class) a granite chin, and elite speed for his weight class which is pretty much the definition of talent. The guy could throw punches from any angle/position and generate KO power. Obviously the guy is going to get walked by someone like barrerra, but that is because he had very very very poor fundamentals. To be one of the youngest world champions, beating numerous undefeated fighters, beating numerous champions, and cleaning out multiple divisisons with that poor fundamentals means you are a very talented fighter. If that man had a good head on his shoulders and a good trainer he could have been a great. I agree that a lot of the UK fan based in the 90s had overrated him for sure, but to say he wasn't a talented fighter is foolish. He beat tons of top 10 fighters and world champs not just tomato cans.

YOu seem to be the type that just looks at the fightesr on the list. Since you never heard of him you think they suck. No. A lot of the guys he beat were big names at the time and a lot of the undefeated youngins were supposed to be the next big thing. Naseems problem(besides all the mental issues) was that he had a crazy family that talked him into leaving Brandon ingle which was when he really started going down hill and started to really stray away from the fundamentals.

You can call it what you want. I did it to a dude the other night. I do it all the time. Yes Prince had all those things. Could hit from any angle, very unorthodox, very hard hitter for a weight class, had speed. Yea, he had talent. And he LOOKED good against those other fighters but the first time he someone that was supposed to be on his level, he got dog walked. Now I don’t know all that stuff about his family and all but I remember watching his fights. None of those fighters he fought looked mildly impressive with the eye test regardless of what their rankings and records were. Like Canelo. Neeeeeever impressed me at all until he fought and beat convincingly (this time) GGG the second time. Up until then he was a proped up fighter to me.

Surprise surprise. The guy that loves to make up schit and talk out of his *** gets called out on his BS all the time.

The main talents of a boxer are Chin, Power, speed, and reflexes. Naseem had all of them and was elite in every category. Endurance, techinique, etc are all things you can get better at. You are not going to take Malignaggi and turn him into a power puncher. You can't take George Foreman and turn him into a speedster. You can't take David Tua and turn him into a defensive fighter. You can't take Amir Khan and have him develop a granite chin. You are basically admitting that Naz was a very talented fighter.

Naz ran from NOBODY he fought every single person in his weight classes that were considered good at the time. I will name some of the best fighters he fought and will use google to bring up the exact number of times they defended the belt etc.

manuel Medina. I am sure you know of him and know he is a great fighter. The man was 5x featherweight champ.

Tom Johnson defended the belt 10x

Kevin Kelleye defended the belt for 3 years.

Wilfredo VAsquez was a beast. he held a world title belt in 3 different weight classes for a total of 9 years.

Wayne McCullough 2 weightclass champ and held the belts for 3 years

Paul ingle featherweight champ for 2 years.

Cesar soto who was a champ and knocked out Jose Luis Castillo after beating the schit out of him for 2 rounds

Vuyani Bungu who defended the title 13x.

He didn't just fight tomato cans. He fought a lot of good fighters. They looked bad because you probably only saw them getting embarrassed by Naz.

I mean if you were never impressed by Canelo until the GGG fight all that tells me is that you don't have a good eye for talent. It was obvious that Canelo was going to be a great fighter even in his early fights.

Who makes up s(hit and gets called out? Im still waiting. What I said was Prince can do all those things sure but what does it mean if it’s not against quality opponents? Wilfredo and Soto I’ll give you. The rest? You can keep him. I’ve watched more boxing than anything so I go off memory and I usually hit more times than no. Canelo? Pssh. When he came to America he already close to 40 some odd fights. We don’t know who he fought in Mexico. I think his first American fight was when he fought a broke down Mosley in those yellow corona shorts. He would have NEVER beat Shane in his prime. **** mayweather avoided Shane until he got older. That’s all Canelo did was use the Mayweather blue print. James Kirkland? Not being trained by Ann Wolfe anymore after his bid, not the same fighter. Cotto? Nope, already finished. Khan? Picking on a smaller dude as usual. Cintron? Was done at that point. All Canelo did was collect names. Eye for talent? Please, I told ppl about Zab, Spence and now David Benevidez before they blew. You’re still googling stats and rankings. Give me something meaty. Something YOU know. He’ll ill give you a freebie Masayuki Ito, will be big in a couple years. He’s not only TALENTED because you have a hard time distinguishing that and being an actual GOOD fighter.

You have made numerous things up in this thread and last thread. And now you admitted to making schit up in other debates "just to keep the guy on his toes" LMFAO. You don't need to fight great opponents to be able to tell if someone is good. When I saw him fight Mosley I knew he was going to be good because I know what to look for. In his first few fights I was able to see his ability to generate power in his punches, he has a good chin, great fighter when in the pocket, etc etc. I always said if he can learn to string together longer combinations he would be extraordinary. I agree that prime shane would have beat him and I agree about the mayweather blueprint thing.

WTF are you talking about. Only someone with a photographic memory could memorize all of those guys number of title defenses. I knew all those names off the top of my head. I googled their number of defenses. Just because you never heard of the other 5 guys doesn't mean anything. They are good fighters and naz DESTROYED them. Walk into any pro gym around you and they will laugh you out of the gym if you say Naz sucked.

Guessing Zab, Spence, and Benavidez were going to be good is not impressive at all. Everything I said in this thread was off the top of the head besides number of title defenses. Pretty much everything you said in this thread turned out to be BS so maybe you should start googling schit before you porst.

However, if you want me to make a prediction on an up and comer that is going to be elite. Ryan Garcia is going to be a name to watch out for.

Nooooo. NO one is ever going to confused Prince for a good fighter. It’s not about what you can do. It’s about what you can do AGAINST who. You can have speed, power, etc but if you can’t do it against good competition, it doesn’t matter. Prince never shows up on anyone top list. Maybe in the UK, but all time? Never. I never said I made things up to keep ppl on their toes. I said I throws things out to gauge what you know. Mean only facts or things a true fan would know not made up crap. That’s stupid. And I said Masayuki Ito. He’s not on anyone’s radar yet. You WISH what I said was bs. You’re a googler type so, I get it.

And Naseem beat 7 World champs and numerous up and coming undefeated fighters. naseem is a good fighter. Only someone with zero boxing knowledge would disagree. No he isn't going to show up on anyones top fighters list but neither are tons of other good fighters.

You made up plenty in this thread alone. You made up that Naseem fought only tomato cans. You made up that Ward moved up in weight because he couldn't make super middle any more. You made up that Mayweather and Toney fought at the same weight at some point in their careers. You made up that Toney moved weight classes because he was unable to make the prior weight classes. You made up that Toney would have been a household name if he didn't get fat when he was 38 years old.

LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOO YOU PICKED A WBO CHAMPION AS YOUR UP AND COMER????????? LMFAOOOOOOOOOO holy schit I am cracking up right now. WOW. You are the type of guy that watches the big fights and thinks you are an expert.

You dunce, he JUST became the champ when he upset Diaz. You didn’t even know about him until you googled him. Plus let me put it into prospective, is Naseem getting into the hall of fame? No. Period. Because he’s such a great fighter right? Plus Canelo’s main problem is is endurance. He has no wind after 6 rounds. But you know so much. You can’t even tell the difference between talent and a good fighter. But you know so much. Dude please. You don’t know jack. You’ll read an article and write exactly what answers article says.
