Every year there is a recruit everybody on this message board is D writing… HARD. Cormani, DJ Pickett, Jeremiah, and this year it’s DJ Jacobs. We are not getting him like we did not get any of the others. Cut bait and move on and save yourselves the time posting on here.

While you are probably right, the class of 2027 for Miami is a little different than what we had when recruiting these players.

Hard to decline a phone call from Amir Sears telling you to join him after his Gorman performance for example. The best want to play with the best.

I don’t buy the storyline about just going along for his brother’s visits at all. But if he actually goes on that last visit, Ohio State vs Michigan, then the non-zero chance he flips evaporates: the following week is early signing day period (Dec 2nd to Dec 4th). Hopefully Ohio State has two or three losses by the end of October (away games @ Indiana plus USC); rooting for the longhorns this weekend.

I know absolutely nothing, but my guess is that if an Ohio State recruit has an opportunity to go the Ohio State-Michigan game, he's going to go to the Ohio State-Michigan game.

He very well may stick with Ohio St. I just know Mario and this staff won’t quit. I’m also curious to see what names come up based on their senior year performance we may try and get. Plus there’s always a kid or two we aren’t talking about that we flip. It’s good to be a Cane fan right now.

Yeah I think Dawson and Bryant are a great duo. We added some kids last year that have ability. And although we will push hard, I think the portal may be an area we look to add an OT, an edge, and a DT with experience.

Yea it does seem like a long shot, we may get someone in silence but this recruitment is too loud.

With Lowe leaving if Jacobs doesn't come should probably put it into another DE if gonna re-allocate it.

We have a ton of de too . Picket , Charles , Bryant ….. Yes if we can get a game changer De I agree but for another body I don’t see it . I believe Motten is gone but we’ll see . 5 and 5 means you can play 5 years right regardless if you play your freshman year ?

That’s unfortunate. I think it’s a lock that he will go to the Michigan-Ohio State game. I hate both those teams but if someone invited me to the game, I might go just for the spectacle. If you believe the chance of flipping him depends on whether or not he goes to the Michigan OSU game, I’d say we’re out of luck.

From what I have read here it looks like he backed out on his commitment to the staff, told them he was going to pick UM and then surprised everyone with the last second pick of OSU. Might explain why his parents didn’t seem particularly pleased. He’s certainly talented but if I am a HC or DL coach, that’s not a good impression to make.

wouldn’t be a bad consolation prize to take that money and see if Ghioto would reclass to 2027.
