The visitors list for Central Michigan is low key impressive. Two 5* and a 4*. All DEs. Its nowhere near as impressive as the F$U visitors list, but its not bad at all. Any you know the Mario the recruiting maniac is going to have that list loaded by game time.

In speaking with those close to this recruitment, the Jacobs family plans to take their fall game day visits together.

The elder Jacobs remains committed to Ohio State and already has two game day visits to Columbus planned for the season:

• Nov. 7 vs. Oregon
• Nov. 28 vs. Michigan

Those will be two end-of-season opportunities for the Buckeyes to lock up their top commit as programs like Tennessee, Miami and Georgia continues to have conversations in an attempt to flip the nation's No. 1 overall player.

The Jacobs family will visit all three of those places this fall, but it's with the primary intention of taking Dawson on his recruiting visits as these will be the last game day visits he gets to take before he commits. Because of the eye balls that will be on DJ joining the family on those visits, there's been some consideration to getting tickets outside of the recruiting section for those games in an effort to alleviate some of the recruiting attention he would get.

That said, the Jacobs family will visit those three programs most heavily connected to recruiting Dawson — while also still trying to flip DJ.

Another thing to keep in mind, Mario is relentless when it comes to recruiting.

Folk were concerned when Maui "Walter" Tonata said he wasn't visiting on a game day. Suddenly, he's cancelled his BYU visit and visiting for F$U. There's nothing precluding Mario from convincing the family to visit a second time.

I don't know man. Those coaches work like 16 hour days and they have to deal with a lot of stress. They make a lot of money but they have to do a lot in order to keep their job. When you are young you probably are more physically and mentally capable but I look at guys like joe torre when he was 70 and managing the yankees and he was constantly getting dogged by George steinbrenner and the media. I look at joe pa he was 80 and had no business on a sideline. Bill belicheck is pass his prime. There is a expiration date on everything and I don't want to be a old **** trying to relate to this kids and do all that other **** especially when I got f u money

Sincere question. Let's say we offer DJ 10% less (I'm not saying we're offering less , just a hypothetical) than what Ohio state is offering. But he gets coached by JT and is in a no income tax state (Ohio is 2.75% income tax). JT produces 3 1st round DEs in 2 years (assuming Wilson, Blount, or Lightfoot goes 1st round in '27). What's that worth to the Jacobs family?

It's everything. They will be paid regardless, but you can't buy that development. Dad played ball, he knows the goal is for his kids to be pushed by the right coach to get to the NFL. OSU still holds the 'development' argument cause of the NFL players and 1st round picks, but let's see how the season plays out and how our guys are doing. I especially think if Wilson is putting up a 12-15 sack season and dominating that'll be all the proof needed.

Can’t imagine how frustrating it must be to spend months recruiting a player, all signs indicate he is going to commit to your program, and then he commits to the overrated Buckeyes. And now you have to spend another year re-recruiting him and trying to flip him from Ohio State. And if he doesn’t flip, you basically wasted 2 years of effort.

What I'm saying is as this season plays out and evidence becomes more obvious we've overtaken them in development especially edge , it'll be a factor. Wilson blossoming into a dominant player will do it. That'll make it clear Miami has the superior coaching and development.

Strictly depends on his draft projection. Media is already overhyping Manning, Moore, and Carr in a crowded class, so it’s possible it’d be a better decision to return to our NIL and a more favorable 2028 QB draft. But if he has a Cam like jump up the boards to top 5, yeah then he goes.

If I was 20 years younger, you could blast me all day. However, I have more years in the rear view mirror at this stage than I have in the windshield. I work 60 hours a week now, not including the time I spend answering complete ******* morons on the internet (business morons, not CiS morons) at all hours of the day and night. I'm doing fine and although I don't make 7-8 figs like most on CiS, I do well enough to support my family and I'm on track to retire before I die. I don't want to be famous or well known. As Tupac said, "All I want is money, **** the fame, I'm a simple man." Experience has also taught me that I don't need $8M to be happy. I need less d-bags wasting my time and more time for myself, my wife and my kids. How many people are winning Father of the Year or Hubby of the Year working 100+ hours a week? That's not a shot at Mario. It's a statement of my value of time and its finite nature.

Point is, I don't want to work that hard. 28 year old BigDikDaddy would agree with you. 50-something BigDikDaddy says nah I'm good fam. I can make more moeny, but I can't make more time. I'm not a thirsty ho.
