2027 David "DJ" Jacobs 5* DE from Roswell, GA (Blessed Trinity Catholic) Commits to OSU 2.0

He always holds spots open for a select few flip targets. There are absolutely some guys who get the “commit now or there may not be a spot available for you later” speech…

Jacobs isn’t one of those guys.
Yes, Mario will leave a spot open, and the staff will continue to recruit. What I'm saying is, Jacobs, Dollar, and MJC won't be flipping to us (although I wish they would).
Be a man and take the L. You literally said “Our class is finished”.

I get where you’re coming from. I think each one individually will be a longshot, but all three? The longest of long shots.

Now, I’m not totally counting Mario out because we've seen what he can do, but people just assuming that we’re going to flip these three guys, or flip any one of them, have to realize that it’s super long odds to flip just one.

In this new NIL era, once prospects are committed by June/July, I would say there’s at least 95% chance of them sticking. Most are virtually signed, sealed and delivered. Again, anything is possible with Mario, but I wouldn’t be sitting here saying for sure he’s gonna flip one of them, much less all three - odds are not favorable. It’s an absolute elite class as is anyway, not to say we can’t go for more. Let’s not get carried away, let’s be realistic.

I understand that this is a message board and the ability to comprehend words may not be very exceptional. I'll help, though.

Me saying the class is finished means: Miami will not be adding any more new players to the class, imo. But that statement does not contradict me saying, "I know Mario will continue to try to recruit players as well as the staff will".

Both of those things can be true especially if Miami does not add anymore players to the current class.

We're not recruiting johnson cook anymore. Dollar and specifically DJ guess we'll have to see.
Should hop off the Dollar recruitment too.

IMO the focus should be

1. Dj Jacobs
2. ….
3. Xavier Muhammad
4. OT2 ( I wanted us to flip Hildenrand/Lipsey from ASU/Michigan. But a late riser 3star guy with good build like Niko Kampala is fine or maybe flip one of A&Ms 4 OTs)….
T5. RB2 (someone like Quinterrius Gipson, or Amir Brown)
T5. TE1/2 (at this point probably late riser, should be in-line type).

We desperately need a big fast RB, after Fletch we cooked thats why we going all out for MJC. We have to flip him, we lose that physicality aura when MF leaves and we do not have that, we need that identity next season and no one can carry it imo. We got some good back but that 220ish speed guy we do not have. So it makes mad sense MC going for MJC and DJ and using every resource which he should.

I just thought I would log into the board today and **** some folks off and rile them up. Never in my wildest dreams would I think @OrangeBowlMagic would be one of them. Come on, old-head.

My bad, lots of tomfoolery on here these days, hard to keep it straight. Shenanigans, if you will. Some good old-fashioned hijinks. A little grab-***, if I didn't know any better. Clean up the hoopla, please.
