Darrion Owens to transfer

I’m just hoping these kids are leaving because they know of recruits coming in where they see their PT diminishing.

Owens and Fines might not be AA but they do add depth to the team.

Owens wasn't good, it's unfortunate he was never the same after his injury. He still can't move laterally. These threads are like clockwork, a player who shouldn't be playing here leaves, and then a horde of posters whines about how this is a big loss. Same thing happened with Ryan Mayes, Terrance Henley, etc.

Looking forward to seeing Steed and Joyner next their shot next year

As a fan i want Norton and McIntosh to come back. But they both will be making more money than they've ever made in their lives if they left early, so calling them stupid is delusional.

There goes our 2018 chances. Owens leaving is the straw that broke the camels back lol

Jesus christ u would think the kid is jon beason....hes slow as **** always has been i dont get how people fall in love with these tupe of players considering people here root for miami and been fans fot ages. We should know great easily when we see it

they love him because he is leaving now. its a reason to complain. This staff shreds dead weight.
100% agree

I'm sure ppl will even find a negative in Ryan fines leaving

Staff told these kids they wouldn't be playing and gave them the chance to bounce. Frees up space , awesome job shedding dead weight

staff aint tell them sh*t cause i doubt the exit interviews happened already. These are guys that were leaving regardless.
The staff just tried to save face with Owens and had him running around out there alot in the bowl game.

Unfortunate. Should have been starting. Hoping Pete is wrong on 2 DT's.. especially if Cali kid bolts. Roster management feels a little Goldenish at the moment. Hope there is a lot going on behind the scenes. Sigh.

They can make more money if they came back and improved their games

Kids can be really stupid

we have a problem with kids leaving early when they shouldnt. its been going on for a bit. i dont get it.

our kids live in Miami. When they go out they are like regular guys...i mean regular guys are usually above them on the totem pole as EVERYONE in Miami has money. Alot of these kids playing at hese other big colleges ARE the celebrities in their cities. They are worshipped. I cant tell u how many times ive been at a nightclub and skipped lines with um players in it..lol

Most of are kids chase that quick cash grab. They have constant pro players come back to work out with long money ,cars, jewelery..they want it. **** fsu doesnt even have guys return.

Smart of them to grab that Kaaya, Yearby, Forston lettuce.......

brandon washington

poor kid from lil haiti/liberty city. BW is happy right now making 50k plus up in canada for 3months last i saw him. That lets u know the mindset of our guys. Alot of our localguys are truly poor kids

Pete, has anything been confirmed yet about McIntosh and Norton?

no, but my latest info has them both gone once again

Poor people don't really understand the difference between 3M "now" and 12M "next year". Its all "we made it" to them...especially when you feel as though you are worthy of a hefty second contract before you get in the league. Being a 3rd or 4th Rounder means they get to that second contract sooner then being a first rounder.

Same **** guys like you said about Joe Yearby.

You have to be a grown man to play DT in the NFL. Norton will get cut in August, he's not ready. RJ might make it as a 3-4 DE, but he'll be leaving a lot of money on the table. They are stupid if they leave

Lol i didnt say **** about Joe Yearby fool. Not even a llegit comparison. he barely played wtf? Think rationally for a second. Making money now versus two years from now trumps the bs u talkn about.

I think what people don't understand either is that I don't think anyone here is commenting from a selfish perspective.

Yes, Norton and McIntosh staying helps the Hurricanes immensely next season. That's a given. We as a fanbase actively WANT these guys to succeed at the next level and make the most money possible. It's a family after all.

We can all see that their best chance of that is to come back to Miami for another season, get bigger, stronger, more technically refined and put on another year of tape for scouts to admire. If you leave now you're leaving half baked.

**** it man...... this is definitely a loss as he was getting back to full strength

Now that's funny.. "this staff shreds dead weight". So Richt Jr and Diaz are leaving???

Miami sticks with this mane while he was injured and trying to get back and now he splits when he is in position to really help us next year?
Wtf are you talking about? He got hurt playing.... you want a golf clap cause they kept him to rehab??? He came back, played, and graduated. No one owes anyone anything.

Exactly. Not the right way of thinking or if i thought it was right..but its mostly the mindset of our guys. Which differs from alot of the bigger name schools like bama who pay these kids at a level that rushing to the league isnt as important. Contrarily to popular belief nevin shapiro's miso soup days were likely when all of our money was thrown around at players...thats what aspiring freshman get at big name schools...look at that piece of sh*t car rental company with grace and company....miami is small time.

Miami LB Darrion Owens will transfer, sources told Canesinsight. Owens is eligible to play elsewhere immediately since he was a December graduate. Houston is a possible landing spot.

Thanks for the info Pete. Is it possible to have one combined thread for attrition and just update the list as the players leave? Might help us all keep comments/info to one thread.

No because I need to start a thread in order to post an article. That’s how our system works

Keep to the standard Pete.
