Darrell Langham senior season highlights

Physically, he could compete right now. **** of a pickup, if he played at a big football school in dade or broward, he would be ranked much higher. His potential is scary IMO.

He's big, that obvious right off the bat. I didn't need the circle after the first play. This is a highlight video, so you obviously aren't going to see the drops, the misplays and things of that ilk, so you can't really identify poor decision making etc. from a highlight video, but he is imposing physically.

With tall kids the first thing you worry about is being a long strider, or "build up" speed, but this kid has great acceleration. He's a good leaper, not elite. He has a nice first step, which is why you see so many screens to the kid. For a giant WR he doesn't break a lot of tackles, routinely tackled by the first man in. Limited route runner. Outside the numbers WR who will be a weapon on fades, screens. Has the frame and potential to really be a good blocker on the edge. With his frame, he can add some weight, but he isn't going to be 240 lbs. This kid is a WR all the way, I don't see TE in his frame, the way he plays or temperament.

His film is that of a solid low 4-star kid. Not a program changer, but a really good player and the type of kid we don't currently have. I'm quite happy with this recruit.

The thing that stands out to me is his turnover. Even though he's tall, he's not a long strider. Gears up quickly.

A college strength and speed program will do wonders for his game. The quick twitch, plyometrics, short area burst, etc. work will do wonders for his get off. As soon as he hits his stride, he gone.

Tall, fast , great ball skills. But I know if I ever had his skills height and speed noway I would be tackled that easy.

Needs polish, but brings to mind those Plaxico type attributes.

Just looking at this year's class, and who knows what the future holds but imagine Langham and Griffin split out wide, Dixon in the slot and Powell coming out of the backfield with J Yearbs staying set in a single back formation?

Options.

Reminds me of Hankerson for some reason (minus the dropsies). Deceptive speed, and very smooth. I miss having guys catch the ball over the middle.
