Darrell Langham and Trayone update by Ryan Bartow.

Guy's, I'll take credit for this one. I saw Gray at Half Time of The UVA game and told him to get the grades right. Looks like he took my advice. You all are welcome.

Pete, are you upset that you did not break this news before 247?

I mean, this isn't really "breaking" news. I reported last week that Miami felt like both would get in. The 247 update said the same thing

Peter, thank you for your prompt reply. It is very much appreciated, but you did not answer the question.

Were you at all bothered, or upset, that 247 broke the news on these kids before you? I know you put great effort into your "The Work" and other reporting. As a paying member of CIS, the best UM website in the world, I am rooting for you to break all stories first. I know with more time and dedication, you will soon be up there with people like Brian "The Beast" London, Matt Porter, Susan Miller Degnan and Tito Benach. I want to thank you for all that you do.

Best regards,

Your Brow

When Pete gives us top info better then almost anybody we give him all the credit in the world but when he's wrong just those few times somehow there's always somebody on his case. He was wrong this time and maybe the next 20 updates he'll be right so get off his case

I don't get the obsession on railing against Pete about this Trayone Gray situation. He reported what he was told, which is what we should expect of him. I'm sure it's not like he was hoping Gray wouldn't get in, he was just passing along what his sources told him. Every time there is a Gray thread, instead of everyone being excited that he's potentially getting in, we have those posters who just use it as an opportunity to run their mouth to Pete. Weird and unneccessary IMO

My guess is because he had and has a habit of being an arrogant **** about it completely lacking humility.

We all appreciate the work and updates and want him to do well at his craft. It has been outlined in another Gray thread why people bust his balls.

#staytuned and #listentoyourboy long enough and you will see what I mean

I get your point. I think it was how emphatic Pete was that there was no chance he was getting in. He never seemed to leave even the shred of a possibility open. I respect that he came in here and said "I was wrong". And I get that he just reported what he was told or heard, but the scuttlebutt from Gray's camp and coaches has consistently been that he was close and that he was going to make it. Pete never wavered on saying it wasn't going to happen. Again, I don't necessarily blame him, Griffin said a lot of the same sh*t, as do many other kids, and never make it in. But it was the insistence that Gray was not going to qualify that has people busting his b@lls now.

Anyone who sincerely complains about a free product needs to reevaluate their life. That's the definition of mopey.

I'm not anti-Ariz, I'm pro-CIS.

I also bet a lot of people kissed Gary Ferman's ***, along with many others who now either have no website or ****** ones.

If a kid like Gray can bust his *** before he even steps foot on campus imagine how hard he is going to work when he gets a taste of it. This kid WANTS it, and for that reason hes going to be a good one imo

Imagine what kind of QB we would have if football was as important to KO as it is to Trayone.

Another reason why we should be grateful is this

Tyler Donohue ‏@TDsTake 3h
5-star athlete and 2014 Alabama signee Bo Scarborough did not qualify academically. Tough break for a very talented playmaker.

More and more kids have these problems but we have Trayone who did any and everything to get into a school much harder then some of these other schools

Kid grew up quick, took responsibility, put in the work--he got it, now he is at the U with great expectations, nice story. We should not forget the Dexter Manley story, graduated college but couldn't read, definitely could play football though.

First of all Peter Ariz does a great job and the other websites have to be envious of Canesinsight.

I heard one recruiting guru say that Langham was the best receiver in Florida last year; it's clear he's very good but may need work to adjust to a higher level of talent.

I think Gray looks like a great running back and that's where I would play him.

I like all our recruits who sign with us, but these my doggs, Langham and Gray! Ringling Brothers called. They want Joe Brown back LMAO!

Yo we should stay on Scarborough once he goes JUCO. Griffin too. I know neither of them panned out for us first time around, but even if we only get them for one season before going pro, ain't it worth it? Wishful thinking.

Whooaaaa there, Honcho. I took the ACT for the kid so I want at least half of the credit.

Jokes aside- even if this kid wasn't the talent that we all believe he is, it's great to see someone realize what they have to do and actually do whatever it takes to get it done before they lose an opportunity of a lifetime. I'm pretty sure that if he had to kill himself now because he fell behind once that he won't let that happen again. I can't even imagine how happy the people in that photo with him are.

Agreed. Scarborough, IMO, was supremely impressive in the AA game.
