Confirmed Darrell Jackson hits the portal

The Cubs had one magical run. The White Sox had a magical run. Otherwise, they've both sucked big time ***.

The Blackhawks were great with Paddy Kane. Othwerwise, they've sucked.

Bulls were team of the 90s. They've been competitive at times in the 80s and 200s. They've frequently sucked ***.

Bears had the mid-to-late 80s and 2006. Otherwise, they've sucked big time ***.

Chicago Fire have sucked.

Illinois, NW, and DePaul have featured some decent teams (particularly Illinois in basketball), but never won anything important.

Mostly, Chicago teams have been bad. Often, very bad.

Hawks had that nice run from 09-17 with 3 cups unfortunately one of those against my Lightning, Bulls looked like they were going to go on a couple of runs with D Rose but he started getting hurt. Illinois basketball is the most overrated college team ever. I was so happy when they got bumped in the second round a couple years ago when a lot of people had them in the final four and even winning.

Funny all the pantshyting at the time when Kaner & Toews both got long term deals. The common narrative was that Kane wouldn’t be worth the $$. Meanwhile, Toews has been flat out common for years now. Put Showtime on a line with dregs, goons, & grinders and he still produces.

Yep I usually just go home after. I don’t drink after hockey. But after 16” softball I’ll drink at the bar we are sponsored by after the games. 90% of people drink during the games lol I could never do that I’m too competitive.

hawks were dynastic during that run. bulls were good last year until injuries tanked their season.

they were leading the east and then got hurt. my heat overtook them (a lot went their way too w bucks slow start and injuries, Celtics got hot in the second half of the year, NETS LOL, bulls got hurt). DeMar was MVP level good last year too

Not only bad. But bad luck bad. Drafting a wrong player, ball doesn't go their way, winning meaningless games taking them out of contention for franchise altering players. It hurts to be a Chicago fan.

But they still show up in droves so the ownership doesn't give af.

The Hawks were awful when I was growing up. Steve Yzerman was my favorite player during that time and when he became GM of Tampa I started paying more attention to them. I was already fans of guys like Stamkos and Hedman. The Hawks are my second favorite team...I was happy when they won it in 2010 and 2013 but obviously not in 2015 lol.

One of the main reasons why Tampa has been so successful for so long. Drafting guys in the later rounds like Kucherov, Point, Palat. He's going to turn that Detroit team around.
