Darian Mensah comparison

Yup. That's why I agree w Montana and Moon. Mobile guys who prefer to stay in the pocket and not scramble unless absolutely necessary. Arms not the strongest but still plenty strong - and most importantly very accurate.

Suhey just passed away. My neighbor went to his funeral a couple days ago. He was struggling for a while and wasn’t too old.

I saw a headline mentioning he passed away recently. Real bummer.

Brady never had the strongest arm and was slow as molasses but he was one of the most accurate passers I’ve ever seen. How many QB’s have we seen with big, strong arms that couldn’t make it in the NFL? I just think pocket awareness, poise, and accuracy are the most important traits in a QB.

So true. Measurables like arm strength, height, speed are nice for a QB, but they take a backseat to the things you named. If he doesn't have those less tangible qualities, he's not going to be a good QB.

I don’t see the issues with his arm strength… he gets the ball down field and the WRs never have to stop their momentum to wait for it. That’s the biggest indicator to me. Yes he doesn’t throw every pass as hard as Cam Newton but that’s where he starts to differ from so many great QBs.

It’s the perfect touch with the perfect velocity for the type of pass he’s trying to complete 9/10. Tom Brady is a better comparison and I’m not even joking.

Don’t downplay how important arm strength is because NFL teams took gambles on players whose only strength was arm strength

Arm strength is very important in the NFL, just as important as any other attribute at qb. You rarely see an elite qb who doesn’t have at least really good arm strength
