Idk why but his throwing motion and the way he can throw off the backfoot reminds me of Eli Manning lol obviously Mensah is more athletic and Eli had more arm strength.
 
Bryce isn’t a bad comparison he was great in college. I see some Purdy, some stroud, some dak

How teams view his arm strength will determine how high he goes. I think it’s average to above average like purdy, if your ball placement and anticipation is good you will be able to excel. Its hard to project to the nfl right now, we gotta see better comp

No, he doesn’t. He absolutely does not have a canon. He’s a timing and accuracy guy. Not saying it’s weak, but he does not have a howitzer out there.

Good comparison with everything of course, but the arm strength. But definitely a good comparison and for us old heads, we can see it.

Man, you remember these dudes? I guess I am not the only old man on this site.😂

Vince had a cannon. He played on some terrible Bears' teams though. He subbed for Bob Avelini who was the starter at one point. Just terrible.

I don’t see the issues with his arm strength… he gets the ball down field and the WRs never have to stop their momentum to wait for it. That’s the biggest indicator to me. Yes he doesn’t throw every pass as hard as Cam Newton but that’s where he starts to differ from so many great QBs.

It’s the perfect touch with the perfect velocity for the type of pass he’s trying to complete 9/10. Tom Brady is a better comparison and I’m not even joking.

Bob Avelini - yup, you're old. I am too. :LOL: I cheated on the Marlin Briscoe name - he was a little before my time. The rest came off the top of my head. I grew up rooting for the Lions and thought Billy Sims was going to be the savior. It was around that time I saw Vince Evans play. At one point, he tried resurrecting his career sort of, with the Raiders. I also remember Matt Suhey, Gary Fencik, Dave Duerson and a few others from those early 80's, pre-Ditka teams. Obv I remember Sweetness too.
