D'Antre Robinson commits to UF - now in portal

Is it a red flag that he signed with Texas, got released from his NLI, and is now transferring after 1 year at UF?
Don’t know but it’s hilarious to me that he was one of the players that UF bagged up to hype up their last class and just a year later he’s….

Peace Out Reaction GIF

This is the guy we need to get in my opinion. He has the Exact size and build to be the run stuffer we need in our defensive line rotation and the perfect guy to bring in to be our number four defensive tackle for this year. Next year he can compete to be in the top two. Get it done, Mario!

Exact size and build, @Confidence1000

Perfect makeup for a DT4. Not a starter or key backup looking for big NIL. He's young with promise and fills a recruiting gap. Seems like he is instantly better than Jones and Russell at this point? Keep hoping Jones will turn the corner soon.

Agree. I wanted a DT1 because we still don't know exactly how Blay will hold up against top competition in a playoff run. But most important missing gap is a run stuffer who rounds out the 4-man rotation, and this guy satisfies that. Similar trajectory to Justin Scott, similar snap counts, came on stronger as last season progressed. He's also got multiple years of eligibility which is a big plus.

Blay and Moten both have pretty good run defense stats. I’m not a PFF proponent or expert but both graded out well there IIRC

Still to your point the kid is an obvious take

I really hope Blay is the man. But the best run team he's faced so far is Arkansas, not exactly a good marker for Notre Dame or other playoff teams.
