Yes, but he was benched for a kid who was only a junior and had another year to start. So sitting 1 year behind Garbers at Cal or sitting 1 year behind Gabriel was about the same.

P4 isn't always appealing for guys with that much eligibility left.

Right. After they went out two years ago and brought in Cam. And went out last year and completely flipped the defense and got Beck.

Yes he doesn’t have to rush through coming back from injury, can maintain his redshirt if Dante goes down (new rule changed to 9 games), will get a full spring practice with the team next year, and his brother goes along with him to Oregon.

He isn’t the top qb amongst all the names in 2027 anyways. He could be a top qb in 2028 after he gets 12+ starts in the 2027 season.

He’s probably been committed there since Thanksgiving

This makes no sense. There is no way Raiola is going there to sit and then take second team snaps.

But, if he did say it’s ok to sit, will he want more money if Moore gets hurt?
Also, what if the team notices that he’s better than Moore?
Will that split up the locker room?
You’re creating a potential qb controversy and it doesn’t guarantee that Raiola stays next year.

However, maybe they are spending now to not have to worry about a portal qb next year the way they did with Moore behind Gabriel.

This is the reason I was so high on Mestamaker because he has at least 2 more years of eligibility.

Yeah there's no way in **** that kid wants to sit after being a start from his first collegiate game. No way. I expected Moore to go pro, so the move made sense. Now it doesn't.

I think Moore is reconsidering his choices. It was also evident that he is not ready for the NFL vs Indiana.

But I don't get the notion of transferring. It's not like Oregon is bad offensively.

It would’ve been idiotic if he left . He was nowhere near ready. So he took a nice nil pay day and will get more snaps / experience . He’s smart unlike alot of these kids and their families / agents. He’s thinking ten years down the road and multiple big contracts rather than being out of the league after one pay day. The data with amount of games started should make this decision easy.

I respect him for his decision to understand he needs to get better more snaps more reps. He knows later the more successful QBs been having more starts in.college lately
