Dan Orlovsky is a hero

The 1st thing any decent analyst notices when they watch Miami is how static Richt's offense is. It sticks out like a Brachiosaurus compared to the modern offense almost every team runs.

Richt, Jason Garrett, Mike McCarthy, etc. are on their way out of jobs.

and out of those 3 guys you listed, only McCarthy has any semblance of success because he has absolute magician in Aaron Rodgers....

Yea some fat *** DL from GT was losin his drawz and had to pull em up.. "Crack is Wack"

haaaa, haaaa!! That's awesome, I was watching some fights and so I didn't have the volume on during our game the whole time.

Dan O is a shooting star

A rare breed. A football broadcaster who is willing to be openly critical of a current HC. They usually just go out of their way to dump on players in order to keep their handshaking goodtime Charlie relationships with coaches alive. You almost never hear such unbridled honesty, so it was refreshing to hear his honesty in trashing Rickety last night.

He’s a noted film junkie too, so the imbecile Cane nation can’t claim he doesn’t know football. The guy is so studied in the game that he should broadcast in a white doctor’s smock.
Is he open to coaching QBs and calling plays???? Please????!!!!!???

It took 15 years for a broadcaster to call out one of our coaches for wildly underperforming the talent level.

Coker: they always did the “but he won a title and started 25-0” shtick.

shannon: building a program; needs time

Golden: The Cloud

Richt: always been successful he’s building something

Felt good to hear someone calling it out as it happened too. Feel like at one point (can’t be sure because I switched to the hard stuff at half time) he said something to the effect of “this is the third time they’ve called this exact play out of this exact formation”.

Get rid of Herbie and replace him with Danny O.

He was okay until the laughably ignorant exclamation that Georgia Tech -- "an option team" -- was 9th in the nation in yards per pass attempt. Then he repeated it for emphasis like he's Rachel Maddow and somehow thinks the audience didn't hear it or grasp it the first time.

Meanwhile he has obviously never paid a fleck of attention to that category and merely inherited it in preparation for this game, without doing any further research on the matter. Option teams frequently dominate that category. That has only been true for 50+ years. Check out 2015 with Air Force, Navy, Army 1-2-3:

With as pathetic as Rick has made the team, pretty soon ESPN is only going to televise our games on ESPN8. THE OCHO

There was nothing wrong with bringing that up ....he was doing it to highlight that when tech DOES throw the ball it’s for a big play.

**** the one game I miss the announcer keeps it a buck..............what did he say

Man was preaching the good word.

Started off the broadcast by saying that Miami desperately needs to hire someone on the forefront of offensive thinking to call plays. And then kept hammering the message home.

Look, I know that we tend to geek out about this stuff, but the reality is most of the BoT and the ticket buyers aren't as engaged. Having an announcer lay it out, factually, is the type of thing that can actually go a long way toward getting the more relaxed fans to pay attention...if the scoreboard wasn't already doing it.
