Dan Enos on the starting QB for Friday

I think both QBs have very strong cases to start,

JW has been playing well (except in the last game, he was horrific) and improving, but he has 2 flaws (Lack of feel for the deep ball and not scrambling when there’s a lane) atm, that coupled with an inefficient OL is hurting the offense.

Perry can sling it and throw a beautiful deep ball, has an ok ball placement for the most part and looks more mobile than JW. But he will give opposing defenses a lot of chances to make plays on the ball, he goes for broke way too often and if he can’t reel it in he can cost his team games.

At the end of the day if Perry is the guy that will put the ball on JT4 and Brevin hands he should be the guy going forward.

boht underthrew the deep ball from what I saw. seems to be another issue there

Put the offense in a Spread and tell Tate to just run around and make plays like he was in the park near his home in Vegas. With this OL, might be the best option.
It should work because that is exactly what has beat our defense every game. Hands down we would have won if the statue QB Willis was back there for VT. Statues better be phenomenal if they are back there if not a running QB gives you a better chance to win with a not so good O Line.

I’m just saying the throws specific to Thomas, 13 yard catch and 25 yard td catch. He has the arm to make those throws, any qb does at this level tbh.
I think my favorite throw from Perry was actually a drop by Osborn and really liked that the very next play he found Brevin for a first on a good pass, two throws that really makes me hopeful for him as a potential QB1.

Still, I would ride with JW and no short leash bullsh*t either, unless he has another 3 straight possessions 3 picks kind of day, and reevaluate in a few weeks.

Look at the difference stepping into the throw does in terms of throwing the deep ball. Jarren doesn’t do it on a lot of his throws so far this season for whatever the reason on the deep ball which is why we are seeing some underthrows. So it’s not necessarily arm strength but just a fundamental breakdown. Like I said There’s no way you can drive a deep ball throwing like that and not stepping into the throw. Enos has to work with him on it

I'd say he is telling it like it is. That said the oline is not giving Jarren much time for his eyes to be looking down field.

Again, Eno's needs to have only " two passing reads " for either QB. And if nobody is open, then have QB bolt out of the pocket. Because when there's time in the pocket, Miami's QB do have open receivers down field.

I think we forget one thing about Kosi: Richt pulled him last year in favor of Malik Rosier so he didn’t see any live action towards the end of the season including the bowl game. This year he saw a few minutes against Bethune Cookman in mop up but none vs the Gators, Tar Heels, and Central Michigan. So he had not seen much live action for about a year then they ask him to save the day against VT and he almost pulls the impossible. Kudos to Kosi a guy that hasn’t complained about his backup role and has improved significantly since his problems last year with CMR! We are talking about the 3rd ranked Dual Threat QB in the nation and he is only a redshirt sophomore. Let’s give him the start Friday and see what he can do! He most certainly earned our respect last Saturday. 🙌🏾

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. We saw Perry come in against FSU last year and light up, arguably, the worst FSU 2ndary they've had in a while. We all crowned him, then reality hit the following week.

I still see a lot of bad habits. Yes, he had a great yardage game, but he still stares down his receivers and not go through progressions which lead to sacks against Vag Tech, and a couple of close ints. VAG TECH is that bad, so they didn't capitalize, just like FSU was just that bad last year. Frankly, I'm not all in on either of these QBs.

I want to see what he does against UVA, like last year. Until I see us beat a P5 team, I'm not going to get my hopes up on anything, regardless of who's named the starter.

The backup qb is the most popular guy in the stadium lol, well until he starts.

One QB can't throw deep and the other can't throw short... Only at Miami lol

Tate was the best QB for this team, and the athletes on Offense. We should be running a spread based offense that utilizes quick passes and option/RPO concepts. Enos saying he adjusts his system to fit the personnel is complete BULL****

Instead Enos chose a guy that fit "his system" better. Sounds like Richt to me SMH
Agreed. Would have been fun being undefeated n watching Tate avoid sacks unlike jw kayaak

Exactly... NKosi hasn’t had the support of a coaching staff behind him as the starter his entire time at Miami. Last season Rosier was Mark Richts QB and this season it was Jarren Williams. NKosi still supported the team and played his role, didn’t hear any rumors about him transferring. That shows a lot of character and maturity that most players in today’s era don’t have.

I wanted Tate to play 2 I mean he can't be worse than jw
