Dan Enos- full interview today

Miami fans act like we weren’t the hottest topic in college football just 2 years ago. The day after we beat ND we were front page news. People see what happens when “Miami is back” even if only for a little while. We got a glimpse of that. Coaches want to be apart of it. It shouldn’t be surprising.

Honestly it’s always going to be a battle to get the best top S Fla talent these days, but I truly believe we lost two or three of the top guys in the ‘19 class because of how inept the offense was. A good offense will go a long way for us to be able keep them kids in play and stick with us.

I was thinking along the same lines. Especially when WRs see the ****show we have had at QB recently. They know when you have a guy like Jon Richt "developing" QBs they are not going to get as many quality targets. So I was assuming that with a solid QB guy coming in as OC that might help. But I am assuming there will also have to be a QB coach hire as well...or will he being handling the QB room as well as OC?

Yeah Enos is the QB coach as well.

So many Miami fans are like beaten wives. They can’t imagine how a coach could leave Alabama for Miami. Well maybe he sees an amazing opportunity BECAUSE it’s Miami. Ground zero for speed, recruiting, and exciting football. Untapped and under utilized for the past 15 years. Anyone with a brain knows it’s a career maker. Now he can recruit his whole WR core in his own backyard and find a QB anywhere in the country. We have had so many years of mediocrity many fans have forgotten we sit on a goldmine.

Agreed. This is a great time to be a Canes fan. The buzz in the media and excitement is around the program again. It’s up to Manny and the new coaching staff (offensively) to get it done. No reason if we average 28+ points a game why we shouldn’t be in the ACCCG versus Clemson. That will help boost recruiting and start to chisel at Clemson’s shiny armor in the ACC and nationally. With the buzz also being generated by the portal transfers, and the great potential of landing Hurts, who doesn’t see all the excitement surrounding the program.

I mentioned it earlier about Enos sounding like his family wants to live in an actual city as he kept mentioning them and "quality of life" as part of the rationale for coming here and not sticking around for the OC job in Tuscaloosy.

I just looked and it appears that Enos grew up about 10 mins away from Kewligowski in Michigan. If my assumption about Enos is true then it is interesting how two suburban Detroiters could seemingly run to and run from Miami in the span of a year based at least in part by their appreciation (or lack thereof) of South Florida living.

Give me the guy that's not a wannabe hilljack praying for ANY NFL job but preferably one in the South.

36:00 minute mark interview starts.

Amazing to actually here it when Bo Mattingly asks him about leaving behind Tua and the WRs for Miami. When you actually hear it you wonder how in the **** Manny pulled it off. He left behind a historically great offense for UM. Who does that?

So this interview was basically him saying his entire family wanted out of A and he will be at UM for a blink of an eye until a HC job opens.

This. One thing is to trick some 18 year old kid that living in a little shanty town is not a big deal and is a good business decision. Another is an adult who makes high six or seven figures getting to enjoy that lifestyle in Tuscaloosa, Athens, Gainesville, etc. vs. Miami, Fl. No brainer.

His best WR was from SF.
