36:00 minute mark interview starts.

Amazing to actually here it when Bo Mattingly asks him about leaving behind Tua and the WRs for Miami. When you actually hear it you wonder how in the **** Manny pulled it off. He left behind a historically great offense for UM. Who does that?

Someone who wants to make a name for himself outside the shadow of Saban. Someone who doesn’t like to be treated like a child by his boss

That’s exactly what’s been going on over there for the past 3 years.

It’s one thing to leave a coordinator job to be the Head Coach at Tennessee, Georgia, or Maryland or go from being a position coach to OC at Michigan. This was a lateral OC move.
Out of this world move by Manny selling this guy on a lateral move but honestly was it even lateral?!?

People crying about this hire are honestly utterly clueless. It's one thing to take a wait and see approach, understand we brought out the big boys, and see what happens but to call this a bad hire? Clueless

So many Miami fans are like beaten wives. They can’t imagine how a coach could leave Alabama for Miami. Well maybe he sees an amazing opportunity BECAUSE it’s Miami. Ground zero for speed, recruiting, and exciting football. Untapped and under utilized for the past 15 years. Anyone with a brain knows it’s a career maker. Now he can recruit his whole WR core in his own backyard and find a QB anywhere in the country. We have had so many years of mediocrity many fans have forgotten we sit on a goldmine.

I can see why you said that but it actually makes a lot of sense. His getting paid more money and he has complete control of the offense. If he turns this offense around then for sure his going to get a HC spot. The last GA OC didn't get a HC spot in fact he got the **** out of Georgira for Tenn.

Sounds like you beat women.

Diaz has the perfect story to tell.

“Come do for the O what I did for the D and you will be a HC someplace.”

That was exactly the sell. We've got similar athletes at the skill spots as Bama. Develop a QB and ol and the offense will be in the top 30 immediately. He will get offers.

Sounds like it. When you hear him describe Saban as "detailed oriented" that is a euphemism for "control freak". I also picked up on him choosing to work with Manny was that he was excited to have control of an offense starting from scratch where he has input who is hired and implementing his own offense (though still in line with what Manny envisions).

Does his presence positively affect WR recruiting enough to keep some of these SFL WRs who always seem to run away from SFL? I don't know enough about recruiting as a total picture. I'm assuming so but wtf do I know

Honestly it’s always going to be a battle to get the best top S Fla talent these days, but I truly believe we lost two or three of the top guys in the ‘19 class because of how inept the offense was. A good offense will go a long way for us to be able keep them kids in play and stick with us.
