Question is would Mario ,after his and probably Zo’s evals,not want the players they have if they were ranked one star lower? Doubt it.

It’s. why we are all saying a lot of our 3 stars are better than they’re ranked if they passed those evals.

Fact is this star **** is for the fans and to sell magazines.

Truth is if they didn’t have stars coaches like Mario,Saban,Dabo etc would still get the better Players because they are better with evaluations than the others.

They may bust in the NFL but chances are a QB recruited by Taint will produce there. As will a WR. So yes, when a certain school offers an under the radar kid, services will take notice, as they should. It’s another layer of scouting, actually looking at whether or not the schools are reciprocating their scouting reports. Back in the mid 2000s everytime we offered a kid they usually became a 4 star shortly after.

You and I are old enough to remember how true your last line is. One reason Coker had such highly recruited classes, that did not perform up to their ranking, was that every 3 star we recruited ended up as a 4 star once we offered, and if not then, then certainly if he committed.

They had him slightly on ice a while ago. Their DB class is utterly loaded but they needed another corner. Cormani like for everyone was at the tippy top of their list but they missed there so they moved on the Damari who was next on the board. Keep in mind that Bama hit on everyone at the top of their at DB except the ones they lost to us. So while Damari may have been on ice for a minute he isn’t anymore and they were real high.
