Dallas

Deejay been certified. I love what Homer brings as well but he is a straight line speed guy with not much wiggle. Who has more YAC between the two?

Great point by Motorcity - the OL doesnt create big lanes so you better have wiggle ..... Home is more of a 3rd down & draw play RB

Coming around to this as well
Bout time haha I’ve been trying to convince you

I love Homer but when Deejay gets the ball he just makes something happen. Go back even to last year and no matter what, he just never goes down on first contact (sometimes 4th or 5th either).

deejay just has an unreal feel for game. i think homer is either hurt or he regressed

It was obvious to me at the end of the year that Deejay was a natural. Feel bad for Homer, but he just doesn't have that vision and ability to get skinny that Dallas has. Could be injury or a slump. But all last year he struggled against better defenses, too (as did Walton).

Dallas has muchmore vision and looks better but he needs to lose about 10 pounds he looks a lil heavy

He came here as a receiver so obviously he has that component to his game....I don’t understand why we don’t do anything to try to get him isolated on a LB in the passing game.

Deejay has been way much more impressive so far but I think naming either the starting running back is irrelevant. They'll get even touches for the most part and whoevers hot will get slightly more.

The staff decided he needed to gain the weight to take the hits of a full season.

People around here like to have it both ways and say he should get more touches but lose some weight.
It does not make sense.

As for the topic of the thread he is looking good. But I am patient with Homer. He will look good in games too. Just wait.

you dont have to weigh 220 to get 15-20 touches a game at RB

Yea Homer gotta be hurt . Irk what it is but something’s off . He doesn’t have the vision of DJ but he definitely showed some last year with his cutbacks . Not much wiggle though

To take the pounding of many of our runs that are up the middle the staff felt he should gain weight as long as he did not lose speed or wiggle.
According to most sources that is the case.

Dallas was squirting through holes I didn't even see on back to back runs in the 3rd quarter, and he just flat out refuses to gain no yards. On the flip side, though, Homer did show a little more patience on a few runs yesterday. I'm not sure if he's hurt. I just think he's trying too hard. I'd like to see more Dallas on 1st down, and Homer on 3rd downs. Homer's ability to score from anywhere on the field demands that he get plenty of opportunities, but I think everyone was able to see how much more efficient the offense can be when we have a back who consistently gets 3 or 4 yards on first down.

His taunting of their student section was hilarious, and props to Toledo for not making some big conspiracy theory bull**** about it ala Appy St.

Needs to be our starting rb.
Not even close...
Gotta love cane fans. I said this during the offseason and got down voted hard
