DAILY DEBATE: Who will be Miami’s quarterback in 2026?

if we do go portal, these are my way to early candidates
Josh Hoover - unlikely, but I can dream
Demond Williams - good chance to enter if Fisch takes the UF job
Noah Fifita - escaping Brent Brennan if he has another mid year
CJ Bailey - should be poachable

I said CJ Bailey because I can see him coming here. It's obvious by the vomit reaction you gave that you don't care for him. I'm genuinely curious as to why. You always have great football insight.
 
Hot Take pick: Sellers. Could see South Carolina really struggling in SEC play, and that could get him out of the first-round picture. He might want another year in college to solidify himself as a top QB taken

I have watched this kid for a couple of years, and imo, he would be my 1st choice. He has some nice tools at the WR to work with here not the mention a top 5-10 OL, even if Mauigoa and couple of others declare for the NFL.
 
I'm pretty sure it'll be Nickel. But I have a source, an NFL agent, the same to tell me that Carson will go to Miami, telling me that he has a potential client that will hit the portal this offseason. And when that person does, who he refuse to tell me right now, he's gonna try to get him down to Miami.

I skimmed through about half the pages and this was the 1st name that I like right now in here. I think he enters the draft after this season, though. Sellers has to become a more consistent passer, but he is a serious problem as a runner. A great talent who leaves USCe for the draft. I know what several people on the staff think of Lagway's skill set so he will be up there. He needs to get away from Napier.
Bailey has talent. He needs to become a more consistent passer. Keep evaluating through the season. My guess is we would have to miss on a few QB's to get to Bailey. Total guess.
We now have a roster where we are looking to win a Championship. We want a elite QB. We have gotten the best portal QB the last 2 off seasons. Does anyone actually believe Bailey will be that?
