DAILY DEBATE: Who is the most important player on the team (besides Beck)?

If Rueben Bain is the best DL in the ACC in 2025 I like Miami's chances.

I would also like to toss out Xavier Lucas.

IF he can be a true #1 CB, that allows DC to have more freedom defending the run or helping a softer coverage area.

Trader. Not to put undo pressure in the kid but we need #1 and he’s got the skill set, need the production.

A close 2, Bain. Need him to go straight beast mode this season.

Than it would have to be Bain. No secret that the defense was generationally bad last year and cost us an ACC championship berth and a playoff bid. Too much money spent on the DL for the lack of production from it. Bain has to have a bounce back year and put himself back into 1st round consideration.
 
Justin Scott is the 2nd most important player on the team and most important player on Defense for me. I have a theme this off season and season, the DT position is my biggest concern.
 
To me the most important player is the leader that comes forward week after week to keep the “TEAM” focused and sold on winning a championship and not just doing direct deposit.
 
Going with Toure and CJ Daniels. We need both guys to have All ACC mention type seasons. Not necessarily 1st team, but at least honorable mention.

I agree. Justin Scott is probably the most important player we need to prove themselves this year for our Defense and team as a whole. We are deep and have proven starters at EDGE. We have a lot of guys that should at least be solid at LB. CB we are now deep as ****. I can see the argument for the safeties being probably 2/3rd most important. So yeah to me it's all about DT and Safety. I'm confident in Poyser. So really it's about the dude from UTenn, and then Scott/Blay/Moten and hopefully Jones stepping up.

Offensively it's probably JoJo or literally any of the young WRs. I think Toney can be expected to be an immediate contributor. But ideally if Trade and Moore stepped up that would be awesome. After WR it's probably Lyle. Cause we need him if we want any semblance of an explosive rushing attack.

After that, Auburn returning to his 22&23 form is pretty critical.

I mean obviously Beck and Bain are most important period, but I'm confident they'll be very good regardless. If I could snap my fingers and magically guarantee someone on this team to be very good I'd probably choose Scott at DT....
