DAILY DEBATE: Which player are we not talking about enough?

Bert Auburn. We took Borregales for granted. He was automatic. Auburn’s stats scare me a little. If he doesn’t improve, the kicking game could be a real weakness that affects outcomes.
Have you seen the @Hstokes1447 special teams thread? I was concerned too, but my dude set me straight last week.

The defensive line, specifically the DTs. Need them to show up big time. How do they compare to last years DL that always seemed to be a step late. Anyone dominating in 1v1s? I see the DEs are holding their own but we still need a DT group to collapse some pockets to give our DEs a chance.

Everyone involved in special teams. The returners, coverage, and punter all sucked last year and now Miami has a kicker who is less than 50% from 40 plus after having two automatic guys for the last 5 years.

This.

Outside of Beck and maybe a Francis / Bain, there's not 1 player that may directly impact the outcome of games more than this kid.

If Bert cannot be consistently relied on then that's a MASSIVE dropoff from what we've had over the last 5ish years. Late game situations may force us to go for it on 4th and 5+ because a 40+ yard FG is no longer an automatic.

And at some point, we're going to need a go-ahead / game winning field goal. Legitimately will sh*t myself when that happens.
