DAILY DEBATE: Which Canes get drafted Saturday, and when?

let this sink in that how bad Miami was from an nfl talent perspective or maybe the SEc players are overinflated. Either way Miami needs to join a real conference and get better players. They would only be above Vandy and below everyone else if they were SEC.

Just pathetic. There is a reason the 2024 team was in dog fights with Cal, Va Tech, Duke and everyone else. They were just as average as all them but luckily had Cam Ward!!!

Martinez 4, Rivers 5, Restrepo 6, Baron 7

Those projections make sense. I still think we get 7-9. Kiko will be taken, Brown's measurables are hard to overlook. Borregales has a shot.

X and Brown left on the board. I know Ward makes everyone look good. But both these guys performed with much worse QBs. I know both are flawed, but am kind of shocked no one took a flyer on them.

The draft shows once again that Miami really didn’t have much top talent again. If Mario ever wants to win anything he has to keep getting better players.

Cam covered up a lot of issues.

Some really good college players but only 2 with elite NFL talent out of all guys leaving. That’s not good enough.
Yep, people got mad when I said I'd take Ohio State's offense over ours. Given the option I'd rather have the offense with the most elite talent than the one thats statistically better when it comes to college football.

Yeah Brown was definitely hoping to be drafted on traits but the lack of production with those traits is interesting. We ran off Horton for him so I'm kind of sour about Brown leaving early and leaving us with that hole.
Horton leaving had zero to do with Sam Brown. Misfired on that take.

Totally agree. Lose/lose. He could have earned just as much money at Miami and gone much higher next draft. Would have been a perfect combo with Beck.
He's taking a pay cut. Will be lucky to be a practice squad player at $150k.

I really hope you don't believe that. Horton leaving had everything to do with us taking Brown. Horton felt slighted by us taking Brown he just never announced it publicly.

Then after the season Horton rightfully so felt like since he performed better than Brown he deserved a higher NIL similar to an elite receiver. We wouldn't give him that level money.

My take was not off my friend....

It was a bad take. Horton got 75% of the snaps and Brown got 25%.

Horton left b/c he got more money, reunited with the QB from his 7v7 days, and we had a terrible QB situation at the time (Emory).

Bro just agree to disagree. It was not a bad take and I never commented on number of snaps. I clearly said Horton outplayed Brown so obviously he probably ended playing more.

Point being that was not the coaches plan. They didn't bring in Brown and pay what they paid him for Horton to play significantly more than him. Horton and I understand that concept you clearly do not.

Horton took Brown's playing time when the draft and both players production this year indicate Brown probably should have never been brought in .

You do you and continue to ignore Horton left b/c he got more money, reunited with the QB from his 7v7 days, is from Tenn and slurps $EC, and we had a terrible QB when he made his decision in favor of your feeling that Horton was "upset we brought in Brown".

Sometimes life is not Black and White brother. In my opinion everything you just wrote is true and everything I previously wrote is also true. I am well aware that Horton is from Tennessee/SEC country.

Ohio State, their players made their QB look better.

Us, our QB made our players look better.

It seems the NFL GM's felt that way.

Were people really saying they'd take our offense over OSU's?

Absolutely, they kept saying "we have the number 1 ranked offense ".
