DAILY DEBATE: What matchup do you want Miami to exploit on Saturday?

1. Call good plays. Ultimately, we don't truly know how their defense is going to react. Figure out what they struggle defending and call plays accordingly. Don't make a round peg fit into a square hole with your play calling.

2. Execute to perfection. Make your blocks. Small things matter. No penalties. No personal fouls. No unforced errors and turnovers.

Doing those 2 should be enough to win but I'd like to see a truly dominant defensive line take over the game, and if like to Ward put on a show. Put the team on his back with runs, scrambles, rollouts.

Their run D. Please do not run inside zone 20 times 🙏 The OL should be studying what Kentucky and Ray Davis did to them last year. They're also not expecting Ward to run so why not pull out this at some point.

First play

In hopeful that with a real QB, RB, and few good WR and TE, we won't be restricted to this pound it up the middle relentlessly ****.

This. We have the better lines on both sides, and the better QB. That usually equates to winning.

From the first snap, prove this ****. Let up nothing in the run game. Dominate the LOS from the opening whistle, keep their backs from getting going, and keep them behind the sticks. On passing downs, rip their souls out and get Mertz off-platform. Collapse the pocket, make him move his cement shoes, and bury him.

On offense, do not let them pressure Ward with four. Make them bring additional guys, which opens our our receivers and tight ends against their back 7. Run. The. Football. If we run for 150 yards, we win. Simple as that.

This game is all about the trenches. The gator had a pretty decent run blocking unit last year, and struggled in pass pro. Eat their lunch all night on that side. And on offnese, the gator was 116th in the country last year in yards per rush allowed. Move them off the football, create lanes for Martinez, and let him cook.

150+ rushing yards
Zero turnovers
Keep them under 100 rushing

We win going away.
Martinez goes foe 125+ by himself Saturday

So much talk of ternches.

We got this Elite QB with 3 NFL caliber WR's & you guys don't even want us to use'em lol.

We need to be able to protect him to get those dudes the ball. And we have an NFL weapon at RB too that we need to get the ball.

For me personally though, when I say trenches I’m thinking more about our defense. You know this, but they’re a run-first, short passing offense who tries to limit mistakes. If we whip their *** up front in terms of our front 7 vs their line and TE’s, I don’t see how they win.

This. Seems like they had a bad secondary last year and it really hasn't improved. Make them tackle in space, run at them, get into their reserves. That's exploitation.

Run their offense backwards off the ******* field dropping 3 and outs and turnovers the whole way. Shut every **** mouth in the stadium and then let our offense remind them why they stopped scheduling us as all their girlfriends stand their with their mouths open whispering "oh, ****."

Make their Dline move sideways. Don’t just run straight at them and let them clog the running lanes. Use their size against them. By the late third and 4th they should be worn out.

Winning in the trenches also means we pass protect well. We do this and Cam should have a field day.
