DAILY DEBATE: How many first rounders does Miami have on its roster?

Haven't seen most of the starters play here but
QB-0
RB-0
TE-0
WR-0
OL 1 maybe 2 if someone like Samson plays up to his ranking

DE-0 Not going to assume guys with 0 snaps are
DT-0 would be nice if Scott looks like a 5* this year
LB-0
CB- I'm going to be overly optimistic and say 1.

Beck with a decent year is almost a lock with how QB starved the league is
Mauigoa is a complete lock

After that, you're going off pure potential.

I think Lucas can be
I think Bain can be, although his lack of ideal size will hurt him in the draft just like it did with his recruiting ranking
I think Jojo can be, but obviously you're going on on a major limb there. He'll have the size/speed combo they covet, though.

After that, you're pretty much getting to complete shots in the dark. Just wishful thinking, which might come to fruition, but you can't really say right now you'd bet on it. Kids like Lowe, Scott, Samson, Bell, etc.

Two kids from this group of total unprovens who have my eye are Blount and Schott. I wish Schott was just a little bit taller, but I think he's about 6'3 and he can REALLY run. There's been a major resurgence in the NFL on the TE position the last few years, but they're usually about 6'5+. I think both Warren and Loveland, the two kids projected to go there this year, are both 6'5. So at 6'3, you've got a little more work to do. But I love this kid as a prospect here and at the next level. And much of the same for Blount, plus I love how he works. Wouldn't shock me to see him play himself into a high NFL pick in 2 years.

MAYBE:

Mauignoa (1st or 2nd)
Beck (if he returns to form and has a great season) (1st or 2nd)

Everyone else is either unproven or not nearly first round talent.

The Bain slurping is unfathomable.

Had a good game against the worst Clemson team in 15 years over a year ago, and that makes him a first round draft pick LMAO.

We all want him to excel but Jesus Christ.

Well to be accurate he also had good games against UNC, UVA, Rutgers in 2023, and then in 2024 I thought he played well against Louisville, Duke, and FSU. Now I am not saying he is currently a 1st rounder, I think we need to see how explosive he is off the edge with some weight loss this season, and then determine if he would be better suited being an undersized 3T in the NFL.

Let’s take a bet on this. Your argument is that no one on the roster outside of 1-2 Oline and possibly Justin Scott. That includes everyone on the current roster.

It doesn’t have to be a lot of money. $100 and I will take the field over the next 3 NFL drafts. As long as it is someone on the current roster, other than 1-2 Oline or Justin Scott, I win.
