DAILY DEBATE: Does Cam McCormick have a role on this offense?

Not that great of a blocker. Can't dependably catch. The coaches want him here, and he wants to be here. Glad he's a Cane and won't complain about a 10th year "bottom of the depth chart" guy.

He should only be on the field on third down. He should NEVER take a snap from those top 3 TEs. Play ST and be there for when we need a 3rd and short. Mario owes him nothing because he’s old.
 
Sounds like coaches respect and value his being on the roster. Would imagine his role is reduced with a healthy TE room.

Short answer no.

Long answer: good team guy. Locker room guy. But no. If Riley arroyo or lofton are even half as good at blocking then get his *** to the bench with superglue. If you want to get fancy and run goal line stuff just bring in Samson or McCoy or kinsler. Whoever’s on the bench
 
To catch passes? Not really. Maybe <5 to keep everyone honest.

But as a blocker? Yes. Of course he does. He's a good in line blocking TE.

Yes, but only because Lofton will have an exclusive package as an H-Back.

TE rotation would consist of Williams, Arroyo, McCormick.
 
Maybe punt protection or the very obvious 4th and inches type of situation where everyone knows it’s a run and we still force it because FIZICAL.
 
Yes, he needs to be a locker room leader. Very few teams have a 26 year old on their roster with the expected maturity one of that age would have. He played for Mario when Oregon was humming and needs to bring that insight to our younger team

I can, and I will. He needs to get the **** on with Felicia (his high school sweetheart).
 
World record holder for most years of college eligibility. Heck yeah, keep him around for future trivia games. It might be an untouchable record.
TBH, on field, probably no, but I think Mario finds value in him, so he'll be out there from time to time.
