DABO

IF this were true, #2 won't start next week for Clemson. Biggest play of the game and you get a guy, not audibling and changing the play, but keeping the play and freelancing??? He ain't playing the next week for any coach in the world IF this were true.

BUT, I think Dabo is full of chit and lying. Bush league excuse from what is appearing more and more often to be a bush league human being.
I realize that you probably were posting this at the same time that the interview with their QB was posted a few posts up, but the QB comes out and says that was the case. Now it is entirely possible the kid is lying to save face for Dabo, but if so he is doing a great job of hiding his anger (I would be livid if you made me go out and do an interview saying that I did something that I didn't after you threw me under the bus).

One can argue whether Dabo should have put that out there, but I am inclined to believe Dabo on this one.

The kid corroborates it, great. I still say the proof in the pudding will be if the kid is not starting next week. If he truly did freelance, he's on the bench to start next week. How would any coach let the supposed onfield leader of the team start next week when he flouts the coach's call on the biggest play of the game? It totally undermines the coach and what example does that give to the rest of the players on the team?

It was actually the right call, IMO, based on how we had played that earlier this year. Guidry just called a better counter
Agree. Honestly can't fault a coach for running that play against Miami, since it always seems to work.

I mean, we saw our coaches let a QB play after having smoking up the night before.... if Dabo thinks Klubnik gives him the best chance to win I think he lets him play and 'punishes' him some other way.

I'm not saying don't play him ever again, I'm talking about taking a start away. Don't start the game, maybe even not play the first half. I don't know, maybe I'm old school. And to be honest, I'd be more upset about the QB on my team basically giving an F you to the coaching staff, which EVERY player on that field could see, instead of a dumbass personal move.

For Dabo to air it out in the public, even worse.

Don’t know about lining up shot gun 5 yards from the los when you only have a few feet to get in

It’s incredible how this guy went from the foregone top target for Alabama as successor to Saban (or the successor to the successor) to not even in the discussion.

Liked and respected Dabo for ending Golden's reign of terror and for being a thorn in Bama's side. He has quickly become my most hated coach due to his fake persona, whiny attitude, and total disrespect towards us. He reminds me of a spoiled, contemptuous brat. Just an overall unpleasant person and unlikeable guy

Awesome to finally get one against him. Mack Brown is next and I can't wait until that game next year.

I used to like Dabo. At one point, he was the young guy, with fresh energy and approaches. He has more money than he'll ever spend, so he might want to think about a change of venue. The game changed and left him behind.
I used to feel the same way until he ran it up against Al Golden and last year and was disrespectful doing it. Karma is a ***** and he can **** all the way off.

caught that in his post...... was there a handshake last night? have not seen video
I taped it myself and rewatched the 4th Q and OT tonight. All I saw from the ACCN broadcast was a quick glimpse of Dabo approaching with his hand out to shake. Looks like he said "good game" and then the camera cut away. It was a reaching kind of handshake, a real quick one from what they showed

Didn't look like there was chit chat...

people keep using RPO for the 4th and 1 play. it wasn't an RPO (regardless of whether it was a straight run as Dabo says). if anything, it was a read option. hand it off to the RB or run the ball. no pass component AT ALL.
